Red face Got Glitter Gals?

I have glitter everywhere - because I don't know how to apply it right - obviously. I sparkle everywhere. Can someone help me? I used a paint brush, painted glue on a snowman for example and then sprinkled on the glitter and everytime I tap the card - more comes off. HELP??

Thanks, Jane

Are you using a piece of paper under it to catch the extra? Maybe a glue stick isnt strong enough. I use heat and stick or crystal effects. They seem to both work pretty well

Default Swiffer to the rescue!!

Swiffers are the BEST for cleaning up glitter!!!!! Just grab a dry cloth and swipe it over your card, table top, chairs, floor, face... They are also great for the Post Pearl-Ex Patrol.

I use the two way glue and it works great to hold it to the card.

But I always sparkle it seems to stick to me best w/o glue. LOL

try using the kind of glue that comes with glitter already in it and dries clear. definitely a lot less messy than loose glitter and almost no cleanup!

I use my Embossing Buddy when using glitter so it only sticks where I want it to stick (including the scrap paper underneath so it will all slide back in the jar instead of sticking to the paper). Just rub it on everything before you apply your glue. I use the SU liquid glue for my glitter and it seems to work well and dry faster than Crystal Effects

I use the 2-way glue and it seems to hold the glitter on pretty well, but I still get some glitter coming off when I tap the card...and I imagine whoever receives it also gets some on them, but doesn't it just add a little sparkle to our day? One tip my demo gave me long time ago was to store my Dazzling Diamonds in a square Tupperware/Rubbermaid-type container with a little plastic spoon in it. I hold the card directly over the container, spoon a little on, turn the card sideways and let the rest fall back into the container. Of course, if you're clumsy like me, you will want to have a large "back-up" sheet of paper underneath the container to catch any spills.

Ummm, the way I got my username was because everyone used to constantly tell me "Do you know you have glitter on you?" Now I'm a big fan of Stickles because they're easy to use and don't shed. But, if you really want LOTS of sparkle, you've just got to use the Dazzling Diamonds - nothing else compares!! Linda

Hmmm, I've been using the "dryer sheet" method for embossing (in place of the embossing buddy); do you think it would work for glitter, too? It's worth a try...I'll report back.
