OK, so Costco has a package deal. Two all leather 12x12 scrapbooks for 12.99. They are really nice quality. The page protectors are exactly like the ones that are in Stampin Up scrapbooks and they are really nice. I have a Stampin Up leather brag book and the quality is comparable.
They also have a stack of 12x12 paper that is about 5cents a sheet when you divide it out. Not nearly the colors or weight you get from Stampin Up, but if you are just getting into scrapping 12x12 and on a budget, this is not a bad buy. You can always take great stamps and ink and make this paper work until you can build that stash of wonderful stampin up 12x12 paper.
Happy Scrapping!

Wow...what a deal! I have the 12x12 cardstock, but I didn't know about the leather scrapbooks. I'll have to snag my MIL for Costco run (they have the membership ).
I just bought the cardstock and have already used some in my scrapbooks. I am happy with it. I did see the albums when I was there yesterday...they look nice. Has anyone noticed, Costco is starting to carry more SB/Stamp items lately?? Mine sure does. Punches, stamp sets, cardstock..this is nice to see!

I'm not near a Costco but I looked at the Costco website & couldn't find the albums (or any other scrap/stamp supplies) - darn!
I did, however, find a selection of "urns & caskets", including the "Mother Casket" (just in time for Mother's Day!!!) and the "Ebony Trophy Keepsake" ("R&S artisans created this unique trophy design with painstaking detail, inspired by the thought of awarding a life. The trophy keepsake is a perfect memorial for those who wish to commemorate a loved one."). Hmmm, the perfect resting place for a Trophy Wife???
The "Trophy" model includes the following instructions: "For permanent display, the remains should be poured in the bag and tied with the provided string. The bag can then be placed in the urn to be sealed permanently with the provided glue."
Wonder if Crystal Effects would work instead of glue?
And I bet you could dress it up a bit with some coordinating 1/4" grosgrain ribbon instead of string....
I purchased both the paper and scrapbooks, too. The scrapbooks are great quality and unbelievable for $12.99. I think i am saving money by shopping at Costco, but every time i go there i spend WAY too much!

I bought the CS for my 3 year old so she can do her "work" like mommy I must have passed on the paper/office product/crafty gene because she was beyond ecstatic when I gave it to her!

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal this week about antitrust issues in the funeral home industry--the funeral directors are sueing Costco for undercutting and Costco is suing for price gouging.
YIPPEE - we are doing a "family outing" to Costco tomorrow!!!
Can't wait!
My husband was just commenting about how I NEED to get going on my kids books - so since he is talking about it - LEATHER and TWO of tehm fro $12.99 - COOL!
Ok, sorry to briefly highjack, but for all of you going to Costco now to scoop up these greats deals...Costco has the most fabulous chocolate cake you will ever taste. It weighs like 7 pounds and it so unbelievably delicious - and cheap too for that size of a cake!!
Anyway...back to stamping bargains...

I have the single row of drawers that was mentioned earlier. They are really neat! My daughter has 2 in her room and I have purchased 2 for birthday gifts for my daughters friends (12 yrs old). The double ones are neat - just a little more pricey. I am hoping they get the singles back in soon.
I don't get in very often. I will have to check out these scrap books and paper. It is an awesome store. I used to spend way too much when I worked near one and just stopped in over lunch to "look around".
I love the paper, I have bought 2 lots so far, and it is good enough quailty for many projects. My kids are using it now instead of construction paper, they find it fantastic to put reports on.

Yeah, I noticed that. I saw the scissors and saw some stamp set the last time I went.
