i am not a demo but was wondering if there were any demos out there that would be interested in hosting a grosgrain ribbon swap..
it would be great if someone could get about 20 people to participate and this would allow each participant to get about 2-3 yards of every SU color ribbon.
Several of us are looking to spend around $5..
Did this before with wide organdy and it was great getting all the colors-but it is hard to use an entire roll of one color..
I'm a stamper (not a demo) who would also like to participate in a grosgrain ribbon swap. I did check out the ribbon swaps but it seems like they're mostly geared for demos who want to make a sampler with tiny bits of all the different colors, whereas I'm looking to get a couple of yards each of as many colors as possible for card embellishments. So... if it flies, I'm interested in participating.
I am a demo and would be willing to order everyone a roll have them sent here to me and then send everyone their assortment... I can't buy it all myself and then split it up and sell it as it would be a breach of the cash and carry rule....so if we get enough people interested I will do it...I will figure out the cost and the amounts and all that to include shipping back to you and then repost here!!!
Ok so to get the ribbon to me and then swap it all out it will be this...
45 inches, over one yard of each color for 6.95, you may check my math but I had it broken down as
For the ribbon =5.95
10% for shipping = .60 6% tax for SC = .40
6.95
Then to send it all to you I am not sure but it might just be easier to send it priority mail so add 3.85....but I will look into the cost of first class if you don't want me to priority mail it to you so if you add 6.95 and 3.85 it comes to 10.80 for twenty different colors in 45inch lengths each...
So if you are interested in doing that let me know! I will wait to see how much interest there is in it! I will be up for buying TWO rolls myself and so all I need now it another 18 interested or nine and we will all get 90 inches of all TWENTY colors for 21.60 less the 3.85 b/c I will ship two sets and they will both go for 3.85 I think...so let me know!
OK So this is such a neat idea that I have EIGHT rolls covered already!! So all we need now is 12 more single roll buyers or 6 double roll buyers!!! ANY TAKERS??????
I'd definitely be interested! Put me down for a double, which my math (??) says would be about $17.75, give or take a little on the shipping. Next question, since I'm new to this....how do I get you the $$?
OK, I have a lot of interest so this is what I will do...start a second batch if there is enough interest!!! There are still a few spots open here...I have a few that were not posted here so I will stop this and direct people to a new post once this is full!!! I need three more slots here but could use five!!! Then WHEN this one is full and I will start another!!!

Um, Ker, do I have to mail all this stuff to you? Um, if you don't know it by now, I don't know what I'm going to do! JK You're awesome for putting this together!
P.S. If you need any help cutting, addressing, mailing, etc. let me know. Maybe we can carpool again!

It is really easy to make your own ribbons. All you need is the brayer, classic stamp pads and 1 roll of white organdy.
Cut the ribbon to the size you need. Position the ribbon in the stamp pad, and roll over it with the brayer until the color is as deep as you like. Then dry the ribbon.
I do this now and it is saving me a bundle. plus you aren't at SU's mercy for your ribbon order!
