Default Has anyone ever embossed on Glass?

I was trying to find out if anyone has ever embossed on glass before? It seems like it could be done. I was wondering if anyone could help me with it.

Thanks
Traci

I've embossed on plastic Chinese takeout boxes before and it works great. I'm sure glass would work too. Why don't you buy an inexpensive glass votive holder and try it. Use pigment ink and emboss as usual! Just try not to get the glass too hot...don't want it to crack on you!

Let us know how it turns out.

I have. It takes a little longer for the embossing powder to set up, but it works! I used versamark as my embossing medium with the gold and silver powders. Worked like a charm, but don't wash in the dishwasher and don't scrub too hard if you clean it! Decorative purposes only!

I have but wouldn't do it again. I embossed one day and it scratched off the next. I've cracked the glass when the gun got the glass too hot. It wasn't a pleasant experience and took a lot of effort to finally get something I liked. I'd rather do tiles instead.
