Just wondering -- has anyone starting working on their Christmas projects yet this year? If so, what are you doing? I have started working on my calendar CD pages. I think I am going to make 10-12 so I work on a few at a time. Not sure what else I will do but wanted to get some other ideas. Thanks!
I only plan to do cards this year - so far! But I started them in June and have not been able to get back to them since I cut and finished the first layer of stamps. SO my goal is to have them done by the end of August and I love the new roller in the holiday catalog so I may get that to do next years!
While I was unemployed I made 10 christmas cards a week - but then we send out about 150( business associates and junk) so I am done with my christmas cards!
I started playing with my new Christmas sets yesterday. Yea!! Solemn Stillness & Star Studded wheel, and Holiday Spirit & Only Ornaments! I think I am going to have a hard time deciding what to do...
This will be my first year, so I wanted to get a jump on it!

I've made a couple of demo cards, trying to decide what I'm going to do. Also, someone at work told me to sell gift bags and tags this year, so I'm going to do those, but haven't started on them.
I'm planning to do paint cans for the children in the family (cousins and such) and some Christmas cards. I haven't started, yet, because I am waiting on all of my new sets. They will be here on Monday - woohoo!!! I really can't wait to get started.
I started on cards in June but I am trying to slow down a little because I would still like to do a few in November because I am really in the Christmas spirit then! I also print calendars out and stamp and mark everyone in my family's birthdays and anniversaries and give them to my sisters (5), brother, and mom. Everyone seems to love them because they don't have to fill out a new one for themselves every year. I also make card sets for the moms and grandmas in the family. Those also seem to be a hit.

I will be making tile coaster sets this year for many of my gifts. I'm buying tiles right now. Our local stores don't keep a lot in stock so I have to keep going back once a week. Plus, so many of the tiles are broken.......I have to check and go through each box individually to make sure the tiles are good.
I am probably the only stamper who does NOT make her own Christmas cards. I do make them for a special few, but not for my whole card list. I usually send out about 80 cards.
It's cheaper for me to get them 50% off the day after Christmas at the sales. I'd rather spend the time making gifts and baking than making cards. Blasphemy, I know!

I'm going to stamp them with what the child likes and put their name on it. Then, I will fill it will small toys/gifts. I'm hoping it will be easy and cheap! LOL!
My daughter caught me reading a christmas craft magazine last night, and said "You can't be serious, Christmas already?" My creative juices are flowing. Saw a christmas card idea where you make a snowflake out of beads, hmmmm, will post when I get it done!!

I am starting my Christmas cards now! Last year I didn't start until October and I did not send Christmas cards! I have three children who all have birthdays in November and then in December my 4 year old got that horrible flu. I have 100 cards 1/2 done. My husband said, well you've got a great head start on next year. But now I want to use a new set . and just recycle my card stock! I could only admit that here, in this safe place!

I haven't started yet, but I have to say I was done with my cards at this time last year. My friends were all astonished that I was done so early since I'm usually the queen of the last minute rush. It felt good to be done. That said, I didn't mail them out till Dec. 20th.
I always have my idea, & all the supplies that I need, and then I do them the Friday after Thanksgiving. My family knows not to ask me to do anything else that day. I'm not a shopper the day after,(can't deal with the crowds) so it works GREAT for me! Just serve leftovers for dinner!
The thought of making 80 of the same card boggles my mind. I must have adult ADD or something!
I made 200+ cards for convention swaps, but I could never bring myself to make more than 50 of the same design. :? I would just be SO sick of making the same card that I had to change designs.
I guess I could make more than one design, but I really go nuts making large quantities of the same design.
