I have found that the USPS tracking number to be worthless. It will tell you that there is a tracking number but does not tell you where the package is or when it will be delivered. Only seems to tell you when the package has been delivered, which I already know because I have the package in my hands. I often wonder why the USPS bothers with a tracking system.

Usps does not have a tracking number. Only express mail (overnight delivery) has a tracking number. Usps packages have a delivery confirmation #, which is just that. a confirmation of delivery. Yes every once in a while, a package will get scanned throughout it's journey, but sometimes it doesn't. Delivery confirmation # is just a confirmation of delivery.

well...worthless or not...the DC# for my package told me that 2 days AFTER PTI sent me notification of shipping...my package actually shipped...

When a business/person prints a delivery label w/a confirmation #. The usps is notified immediately and when you go to their website, they state that a conf # has been issued but does not mean that a package has been given to the Post Office for mailing, This issue actually happens a lot, a label get printed but the business/person holds on the package for a couple of days for whatever reason, maybe they are waiting to get a certain # of packages to take to the PO, or the can't make to the PO right away.

I received my package today. I had gotten notification that it was being sent by usps priority mail, but it came with ups. The tracking number I was given was also invalid for ups.

Anyway, I got my gorgeous stuff and am super happy.

I ordered on the 15th at 12:30am, never got a shipping notice, but received my package on Friday the 22nd. I am in Canada, that was the quickest I have ever received a parcel.
