Default Help!

I have to make some thank you cards for an attorney in my office who is retiring. She wants to use them to write some notes to her fellow partners before she leaves. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could use to create these cards? She wants the theme of the cards to be law/legal.

Thanks!
Dorothy

Scales of Justice or blind justice would work. Embossed thank you in a metalic gold on ivory paper looks great.

They have stamps like this here:

Impression-Obsession has some images in their Cover-A-Card line that might work (they are big images; 5.75 square). Perhaps other companies have similar images in smaller sizes (IO stamps are great!):

I found this one on E-Bay (Stampabilities Pledge of Allegiance) but a quick search did not find it on Hobby Lobby's website and I didn't have time to do a more thorough search:

And this card from the SCS Gallery shows images by Our Daily Bread Designs:

I hope this at least gives you some inspiration.

You could use an eagle. Gold embossed would be nice.

A scroll rolled open or some books would work.

If you have access to prior versions of your state's statutes or reporters that would otherwise be thrown out, I would scavenge them and tear out pages to use as a patterned paper element (much like dictionary pages). Maybe even advance sheets of the reporters if you have them around once you got the hardbound books...

Or, now that I say dictionary, old pages of a Black's law if you've got that around.

I immediately thought scales of justice if you can find one. You could do a really clean and simple design with the scales heat embossed in gold with a Thank You sentiment stamped underneath.

Beeswax stamps has a beautiful eagle profile if you liked this idea. It's on this page, just scroll down a bit, it's on the fifth row.

Good luck coming up with something!
