Exclamation help with acid free stamp pad!!! not drying!

I bought a gold stamp pad from Michael's - says it's acid free - and it won't dry! It's been days and gold is still rubbing off. What do I do?! I was going to use the gold for thank you cards for my wedding. I can't have it rubbing off on the envelope or their hands!

Suggestions please.....

How about using clear embossing powder over it when it's really fresh? It would be more work, but I bet it would look really classy, too!

What kind of paper did you stamp on? Glossy, Vellum? What brand of ink? It will have to be heat embossed. If you used reg paper, have you tried heat-setting it? Maybe if you want the gold, you could try the Brilliance ink pad.
Good luck!

If you have a heat tool try setting it with a little heat. It may still not dry all the way, but it will dry most of the way, I think. That's what I've done when I stamp with gold on Glossy. Good luck.

It may be dry but just rubbing off too...perhaps you could seal it with hairspray or clear fixatif. Test it again and see if that might help.
