Default help installing SU Journaling Fonts

I thought I had average computer knowledge, but...
The Write Me a Memory Jorunaling Fonts won't install on my computer! I have Windows XP home edition operating system and MS Office (Word, PP, Publisher, etc) and the computer is an emachine with an AMD processor.

Has anyone installed the fonts on a similar machine?? Is there a "trick" to installing? Just inserting the CD as directed doesn't do it on my system.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I installed mine, and didn't even know it. It goes directly into microsoft word, into fonts. I thought it had never installed and one day i was changing fonts and there it was! Don't know if that helps any, mabye i'm the only knuckle brain that didnt' know that.
See ya!

It's not an separate program. The CD puts the fonts directly into your fonts folder.

Go into Word or Publisher, or whatever program you're wanting to use, and you should be able to change to the SU fonts. I believe they all have SU before the font name now.

HTH!

dog gone it! There's something with my computer that is preventing the fonts from installing into my fonts folder!

The CD install says I should get a welcome screen, click next, the the license agreement should come up, click agree, and a confirm installation should appear, click next, then restart computer.

None of the above happens! And, just incase the install happened without my knowledge, I've restarted my computer and opened Word, but no SU fonts!

I think something with my CD drive is preventing the installation process. Not sure what since I successfully installed other programs and have installed fonts from free fonts websites, but that didn't require use of CD drive.

Guess I should call SU technical support tomorrow. (Sigh) I was all charged up to do some journaling tonight :(

Thanks for taking time to help.

Dear Vickie,

I installed Vol. I and Vol. II no problem on my Viao with Win 98 as my platform (this was months ago).

Now, I am having a similar problem to yours.

Just bought a new dell. Now, I too have XP as my platform.

Vol II installed just fine - the way it should. However, after attempting to install Vol. one I am seeing things I should not. Like a file for the background for the opening page and a file for the 'new SU logo'. No install. No fonts.

I upgraded Win 98 to XP on the viao too. Same problems. Vol II installs just fine but not voll I

I called demo support and they stated for me to send an email. That was THREE WEEKS AGO......

Maybe SU has pulled employees off of monitoring email problems to solve the shipping problems.... that's meant to be a joke, ladies.

That's exactly what I'm seeing! (It is Vol. I I'm trying to install) I have Vol II ordered and it should arrive on Monday with my order.

You've given me hope that I may be able to install Vol. II. Thanks.

I just sent DS a second email.

If I don't hear back by this Wed I'll snail mail a cert.letter. Unfortunately, I have found that often a paper trail gets faster response than email.

I am not a chronic complainer but I intensely dislike being ignored.

Default write me a memory Vol I...it's not us!

Hello~ I earned mine from Great Rewards. Tried to install on my Windows XP and nothing. Called DS and they told me they had a problem with these. Only MAC files were loaded onto the CD. They did a correction and are sending me a new one. I have to return this one on RMA. Hope this helps.

If your CD is not working, call DS. They received a bad batch of CD's. They will replace them.

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one to have this problem with Vol. 1 I will have to give DS a call today.

I have windows xp and just installed my Vol. II last week without a problem. I would call demo services. Maybe you have something that is preventing it to be installed on your computer. I'm not an expert by any stretch.......so I'm just guessing on that one! Hope you figure it out soon!

Everyone that has received the Volume 1 cd lately is having a problem with it. I have customer that got their replacement already and it had the same problem! So they are sending a third cd! 3rd times a charm - hopefully!

Thanks to everyone for your responses. I received Vol II yesterday and it installed just as it should, so now I know for sure it's not my computer! I'm going to call DS about Vol. I. Just have to say, OMG...I really like the fonts...wish I would have ordered them a few months ago! But, as my DM would say, better late than never! This is going to make journaling FUN!
