Default Help! I've never done this before!

My friend asked me to do her daughters birthday party. I've never done one before.

What kind of projects work well - they are all girls 10 years old. I don't know how many yet. And I have no idea how much to charge either. What is typical for something like this? I figure I would spend about 2 hours with the girls and I want to make sure I cover my costs and my time.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just recently did two sisters BD party ages 9 & 11 - 13 girls total. Mom bought the Girlfriends and GF Accessory sets, black ink and CS. She also purchased 4x6 acrylic frames. The girls made 2 cards using these sets, and stamped the CS for the acrylic frames. I embosses the Girlfriends with black EP on the frames - the girls also colored (pre stamped and cutout image of 2 girls in advance) then I shrunk it, and superglued it on the frame. I charged $2 per girl. If mom hadn't pre ordered supplies, I would have charged $25 plus $3 per girl. While the girls finished their projects, mom ran to the 1 hour and developed the pictures of the BD girl and her guest, they inserted them in the frame.

Fun was had by all.

HTH

She's right, the Girlfriends and Accessories set is great for girls that age. My 11 year old uses it everyday to make "cool" cards for her friends. You can have them stamp post-it cubes, note pads, diaries (blank journals from the Dollar Store work great for that project). Good luck!!!

I did a party using girlfriends, totally cool, favorite teddy and fishy friends. The girls loved them all. We did body tattoos, bookmarks and a puzzle card. They all had a great time and so did I -the body tattoos and body markers are positively addictive. You can draw tattoos on yourself all night! Have fun!

I did a party recently... we did bookmarks to start out with, decorated white bags with girlfriends for a take home bag... and the hostess made up notepads... left the front unstamped.. and they stamped those with buds and blossoms. to take home... I had a helper (my 16 yr old) who stamped their names across the top for them. Girls all loved it. Keep it simple!
