I'm cleaning up and attempting to clear out, since I am moving my stamping area to a different part of the house. Last night I spent reorganizing ribbon and embellishments (chipboard, stickers, buttons, beads, etc.) and realized just how much stuff I have. I'm totally overwhelmed! A fair amount of my stash was impulse buys - I don't know how much use I have for Green Eggs 'n Ham stickers and rub-ons, KWIM???? But I would hate to just through it away - the thought makes me cringe - not because of the $ it represents, but just because it seems like such a waste (in the unnecessary landfill sense).
What's a girl to do??? Seriously, would love suggestions. I'd gladly give it away, but to who??? Is there like Goodwill for stampers???
Please help!
I know exactly what you mean. I give my "stuff" to Open Door Rehap center in my area or to the children's section of the hospital or sometimes to the grade schools. Nursing homes like them too!
Whatever is left, I try to sell at a yard sale or offer them free to the girls that attend my workshops.
The teachers at the schools on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation are in need of arts and crafts supplies for the children. This is one of the poorest school districts in the US so I am sure they would appreciate your stickers and any excess supplies you might have. (The Red Shirt school has stickers on their list.)

I just went through all my paper and stickers a few weeks ago. I called a local childrens daycare center and asked if they take donations. She said definitely... that would be my suggestion or maybe a senior center i know they do crafts.
how about a local non-profit -- hospital, RMDH, community center, etc?
also, check out this blog, she has challenged herself to not buy for thirty days and use what she has: http://jenalonso.com/fstopmemories -- she's very talented and inspiring!
When I cleaned out my craft room a while ago, I gave quite a bit of craft goodies to a friend's daycare. Most of that stuff was old construction paper, glitter glues, sequins, etc - stuff I'd been hanging on to forever because it was still too useful to toss out. The daycare LOVED it!
I also offered a bunch of scrapbooking items (mostly papers, stickers and die-cuts) on Freecycle and it went fast. Most of it went to non-profits so I was really happy it was headed for a good purpose.
Those are just a couple of options that I had success with - I'm sure there are a lot more.
Isn't cleaning great? Now whenever I feel the impulse to shop, I just go "shop" in my craft room - there is no better deterrent to buying more stuff than looking at all the stuff you already have. Well, it doesn't work 100% of the time but it does help... :-)
I am trying to divest myself of so much stuff. While trying to downsize all of my stuff (gasp, not just stamping and scrapbooking stuff), I want to find a good home for everything. And it is not just sitting around (like at my house) and is being used. Daycares, churches, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, Community centers or groups, schools, afterschool programs will usually welcome your donation and use it. I also freecycle. Freecycle is part of the Yahoo groups and in most medium to large cities. You post what you have to offer for free and people respond that they want it. You reply with where to pick up. You can give it to whom you want, you can listen to their story and how they will use it or give it to the first person who replies. I have found it a good way to get rid of a lot of stuff I didn't know what to do with or couldn't find a good home for. If you are anything like me, when I clean it out - I want it gone. I have also met 2 really good scrapbooking buddies this way.

Thanks for the info on Freecycle. I hadn't hear about it before! Off to explore!
