I'm planning to make Christmas cards for the troops. I need 6-10 quick and easy to do designs. I plan on making these cards for the people in my city (population 700) to sign and write a message, then ship them off. I'd appreciate any suggestions. I've tried going through the gallery, but can't seem to find things that are quick and easy. Please send me any suggestions or specific cards in the gallery that might help me out. Thanks so much. My SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO LOOK IN THE CATALOG THEY ARE USUALLY VERY EASY TO MAKE OR.you can even look at the Inspirat5ion sheets are the easiest by far and very quick to make.

This is a link to a VERY simple card I did a few weeks ago after being inspired by the "simple single layer card" thread quoted in one of the previous posts. I just took two very thin strips of designer paper from the Holiday Thyme sheets and stuck them onto vanilla c/s then stamped the greeting in Cranberry Crisp. Nothing could be simpler, I guarantee! Wow, what an awesome project! There's a section in the gallery called "Quick Cards" (I think it's in Special Collections, but don't quote me!) and also a couple of ideas using the All the Trimmings scrappin' kit to make anywhere from 40-60 simple cards using the kit plus a sentiments set, a package of Whisper White cardstock and a roll of ribbon. It's possible that other sets of cards using other kits could be adapted as well.
Good luck with your project! Is there anyone who can help you? I'll bet that there are folks here who could send an extra card or two from their stashes to make a dent in the amount of work you have to do. There isn't much time to get these in the mail if they have to go overseas!

Post on here if you need help. I could send you a bunch if you want them. I am almost done with a few other projects and that will give me something to do.
oooh, i am LOVing this thread! the cards on this site are gorgeous works of art, each and every one, but i've gotten myself into a similar situation where i need 20 cards (thank god not 700!) and i'm trying to think of a way to make them unique but where each one doesn't take me 3 hours. thank you for starting this thread. these cards are simple and beeeautiful!
Maybe try the gallery for the Happiest of Holidays set and the wheels (Woodcut Holly, Poinsettia & Swirling Stars) that match. Many of the cards there are simple but elegant.
Maybe you should do a Stamp-A-Stack project with those in your community. What a wonderful thing you are doing!! Perhaps you could even do it at school and enlicit help in the art classes with the teacher and kids. Just an idea. 700 cards sounds like an awesome amount for one person!

This set was my first thought. I made cards for a company of soldiers last year and I LOVED using the wheels!!!!!

I don't have any suggestions but just wanted to say hooray to you for this project - and to second the idea that hopefully someone will help - if only to cut cs!
