I'm having a devil of a time finding a printer which will accomodate
12x12 paper. Guess I'll never really need to print photos that big, but
being able to run my 12x12 SU cardstock through a printer would be
awesome. Can you advise?

I purchased a HP deskjet 9650 for that very reason (to print out cardstock) and what sold me on it was that it could even take little bittie cardstock or paper to print on. It can print bordless paper really well also. The downside of it.....it eats INK..however, if you use it as a second printer (I have found not to use it for my everyday printing) and use the speciality papers (cardstock, glossy etc) it's wonderful. It prints unbelievable pic's but wow it uses the ink cartridges quick (since you have to print all pic's and heavy stuff out on BEST quality).
hope this helps a bit. I bough 3 different printers home (my DH about shot me hooking and unhooking printers and returning them) before I decided on this one.
There are not many 12 x 12 printers out there and HP is well known and really do last forever!
I would like a 12x12 printer also but Id realy like to find a scanner for the 12x12 cause i have the hardest time getting my 12x12 pages on the computer !!
Happy New Year

I have the same HP one! It runs for around 399 but I got mine for about $300 becasue of some rebates they are running.. I love all the gadgets and just got the epson picturemate, for christmas, from myself! I love it also. the hp is great!!!
There is a way around using a printer that will print on 12" widths. The only time you really need to accommodate 12" widths is if you will be covering 12X12 completely. If you are simply printing a 12" width, you can use your software to print it on 12X8.5 (or whatever "length" you need) and print sideways if necessary. I do this to print borders, journaling & titles all the time. You can also print a photo that is 12X8.5" and adhere to your 12X12 or just a strip to bring to 12". Keep in mind that there are a limited number of albums that are true 12X12. Like a 2X4 piece of wood, most are just shy of the full 12X12.
I have a Canon I9900 and I absolutely Love it. It prints up to 13 x 19 I think is the size. I print 12 x 12 all the time. It works great. There are 8 ink cartridges so when you need to replace one its cheaper than coming up with $40 for one of the other ones. I pay $5.00 per cartridge online. The printer retails about $700 I think I paid but its so worth it.
I used to have an Epson PhotoStylus (1250?) I think which I really liked, but it spontaneously died (just after the warranty expired). The one downside though was that it really ate ink!
I now have a Canon i9900 which I love even better than the Epson. The great think about it is that it will print very small sizes as well as the 12x12. Also, one thing I liked about the Canon as opposed to other printers is that the color ink cartridges come individually, so if you are out of one color you don't have to get an entirely new color cartridge! I have had the printer about 5 months now - some colors I have barely used, and I've only had to replace a couple (besides the black). I highly recommend it!
I got it from Amazon and I think I paid just under 500 for it, and so far it's been worth every penny!

Yes, mine (not a 12x12) eats ink like it's going out of style. This reason, plus that fact that it kachugs and klunks to beat the band when it prints are good reasons to upgrade to an HP, in my opinion.
I have the Canon S9000. My brother repairs printers and insisted that I had to have the Canon rather than the other makes (can't remember why but I can ask him if you are interested - I don't always listen because I know if I have a problem he'll fix it for me!!!). I just got it and can't tell you too much about it yet although it is my secondary printer so I use it just for specific projects.
