Default Help w/pockets & dividers for new catty!

My mom had my catty spiral bound and the covers laminated for me last year and I LOOOOOOVE IT! I'm going to get my new catty done today and I think I would like to add a few pockets and maybe dividers to it.

For those of you who have done this... what did you use to make the pockets with? I cut a few page protectors down to size to have them insert in the front and I know they will work, I was just thinking that there might be something that I could use instead to make it easier to slip notebook paper (for my lists of "wants"!) in and out, as well as easier to reach my mini cattys in the pocket since they are not the full 8 1/2 x 11 size.

Also, I bought clear plastic dividers with write-on tabs to divide the sections so I can find things in the catty more easily. For example, one divider would be placed just before the page with all the 48 color ordering info on it since I flip to that page all the time. I'm thinking I'm going to end up with about 11 dividers total. For those of you who have put dividers in your catty... did it end up making the catty too big/heavy? What did you use for dividers?

Any help and advice would be appreciated!

Wow! That sounds like an awesome thing to do with the catty. I never thought of doing all that. I'm interested in hearing others replies.

Post Pockets & tabs

I just had my catty sprial bound with folder pockets. One on the inside cover and one in the back of the inside cover.

I had the front and back pages of the catty laminated.
I took a regular oxford folder and cut it to size 8 1/2x11.

The cut to make the for the 8 1/2 I did on the folded side
of the folder so, the pocket would work.
I cut the 11 side from the top of the folder so, it would not
interfer with the bottom of the pocket.

I bought file tabs that you can stick to the top of my pages
to find the color chart with paper and ink.

I hope this helps. Oh, MAKE sure that the printing clerk cuts as close
as possible to the glue of the catalog binding. My clerk messed my
catty all up.

Good Luck
