I AM IN A COLOR COMBO RUT. I ALWAYS GO FOR THE SAME OLD COLORS ALL THEM TIME IN MY CARDS. I THINK BECUASE I KNOW THEY LOOK GOOD TOGETHER AND I AM JUST AFRAID OF USING COLORS THAT MIGHT CLASH. I REALLY SHOULD INVEST IN ONE OF THOSE SU COLOR WHEELS...ANYWAY I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK ALL THE WONDERFUL SCS EXPERTS ABOUT THEIR FAVORITE COLOR COMBOS. MAYBE IT WILL HELP BRAKE ME OUT OF MY RUT!!

You definitely need the color wheel. It helped me out of a color rut.
My favorite color combo right now is rose red, regal rose, barely banana and certainly celery. I love it!! If you're curious how that looks, check out my gallery. I have several samples, 'cause it's my favorite!
At the Austin SCS gathering, Beate used turqoise, celery, and chocolate chip (I believe that was the brown used). I would have never thought to use these colors together, but the card was gorgeous!!!
The "basic" color of the day was chocolate chip. It was used on many fantastic cards..

Do the color challenges or what I have been doing lately. I take a stroll through Target and write down the SU names in my little composition booklet I carry in my purse of cool color combos I see. I look first in the purses and second in the clothes/swimsuits. You'll find some awesome color combos there.
One of my favorite combos is Real Red, Summer Sun and either Night of Navy or Brilliant Blue with Whisper White as a neutral. Another one is Green Galore and Night of Navy with Whisper White. Also, the Inspiration Sheets are a great source for color combos and layouts, even if you don't own the particular set they feature.
for me right now it's the colors on the su caddy for 05/06.I just love these colros together.But that could all change very soon once the new one comes out.

how much different is chocolate chip than the basic brown is there much differance in the two colors.I have basic brown and getting close to cocoa but was thinking basic brown and chocolate chip look close enough that I didn't really need the two.or do I.
