Sorry - forgot to answer this. I'd plan on 45-50 minutes depending where in Bloomington you'll be leaving from. Maybe Lisa could answer more accurately as she drives I-55 frequently to Springfield.
By the way girls - I'm very excited because I'm taking the plunge April 1st!!! I plan to be a "Hobby Demo", however, because we are retired and travel quite a bit.
I'm excited because Sue is going to be my downline!! She told me last week. I wanted to wait so she could announce it, but you have no idea how hard it has been to keep quiet about it!!!

I'm usually in a daze & the car is on autopilot on my way to Springfield, but I think it's about 35-40 minutes once you get out of Bloomington. I haven't checked the instructions on which exit it is but they're only a couple miles apart.
I'm on my way to Springfield again tonight (went last night, too) so I'll try & time it and let you know if it's much different.

Mindy - I LOVE that set! It will be one of the first ones I order next month. I think there are 5 sets from the Spring Mini that I want.

Hi Girls,
I've had no other people sign up so I'll close this for a final count - 24 of us, including me. That means you'll need to bring enough supplies for 23 people to make your project. Please put your name on all of your tools/containers. Be sure you bring directions for how to make your project - the directions will be left at your "station". Bring your own adhesive. If you have an extra scrub pad, please bring that.
If you want to bring an extra stamp set to share, please post the name of the set on this thread to avoid multiples of the same set.
If you're planning to stamp the extra images that the others bring - bring your OWN cardstock.
Remember your snack. Did I forget anything? Well, ok, plan to have a DAY FULL OF FUN!!!!!

So Danita - I've been following Bev's thread and wondered if you're going to share your B. S. technique with our group? I've tried it before - and trust me, I should have been successful - but I think mine didn't turn out well because I don't have a brayer to use on the bg stamp - do you find that important?

Cool! I'll be packing up my Canvas bg stamp, then, for some personal lessons. I love that stamp but there are always places that don't make it to the paper.

I've had a couple of you ask about lunch. I think the info for lunch was on that attachment I put on the initial post that many could not see. There was enough money from registration to cover lunch - we'll order in either pizza or sub sandwiches from Jimmy John's. Anyone have a preference? We'll make the final decision just after everyone arrives so that I can call in the order and give them time to make and deliver it.

I've got mine in a plastic tub. Lisa, no stress - ok? I've had several others that are concerned with the same thing including myself but I'm sure we will all spend time ooing and awing over all the things of beauty.
Oh, and, everyone please remember to bring your card for the troops.
Sorry for not being on here in a while. My husband had knee surgery and the kids were on spring break last week. Everyone home at once for an entire week!!!!! OMG
I am sending them back to school and work this week and hope to get started on my swap. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

i'm not done either. i know what colors i'm using but not the layout. and, i won't be able to work on it til tomorrow night. i have toooooo much homework to do for my classes tomorrow. so, i shouldn't be on scs.

I know the card I want to do but I don't have all the "parts" to it. DH is going to pick up what I need today so I can get going on the layout and directions tonight.

Oh yeah - card for the troops. Good thing you mentioned that. I totally forgot.
Add that to the "To Do" list. I just finished meeting with my new recruit and laying out her first workshop. We practiced her projects and made her list of what to take. Fun stuff.
It is such a beautiful day here that it is hard to focus. I want to be outside but there is so much to do inside. Those are the sacrifices we make as adults

I just logged in to check email before leaving for Starbucks and checked this thread. You guys are reading my mind. My favorite is Yukon with 2 shots of white mocha. Perfect.
I will have my own mug for the trip up there but I am sure a boost once I got there would be great.

first, my swaps are done!! i decided on the layout after class today and then cut them all! woo hoo!! i'm so excited!!!
second, there is a starbucks at "the warehouse" which is what they call the union building on the lccs campus. however, they do not accept starbucks gift cards. bummer, huh?!!
