It sounds like you just want to be a hobby demo selling to your friends. Pick sets you like a lot. That you will have fun with. If you have fun it shows and you will have more success that way.

As for looking for an upline. Check the demonstrator locator for a demonstrator near you. Think what you would like to have in an upline and then ask questions accordingly.
Would you like to go to monthly meetings and learn more about stamping?
- Ask if she holds meetings.
Would you like to stay informed about the newest things happening with SU?
- Ask if she contacts her downline regularly and how. Some people have their own yahoo groups to keep their downline informed.

Most of all, see if you like her. You will be talking to her off and on and it would be great to like each other!

Get that paperwork in fast. It has to be at Stampin' Up! on Wednesday. Otherwise you miss out on that incredible deal of 12 free classic ink pads.

Hugs and smiles.

Geez Beate if I had read the whole thing with the title I *might* have understood-you rock.

I 2nd what Beate said-make a list of questions about what you are hoping for, and go from there. Make sure you are comfortable with who you sign up with, and that she is comfortable with supporting you as a hobby demo with an option for being more nusiness oriented in the future if that is where you think it might go.

Default hobby demo

Sorry it is still early I don't really like the sets that it comes with except for loads of love. So I want to know what six sets you all would get.

I just became a demo ..

I did not go with all the sets in the recommended starter kit, I switched mine out for ones that I liked and could have fun with and that I felt would showcase well.

For instance I decided to get Fishy Friends because I love it! It was hard to pass up Frolicking Frogs for now because I love that one. When I was deciding I also looked at what I could get out of the sets as a whole, how many stamps were in the set, how many would I use, what different types of things I could do with each set.

I also thought about colors with the pads/paper that I liked and would go well with the stamp sets I got.
