We are going out of town this weekend and will be near a Hobby Lobby!
What should I look for and what are the must gets there? We only have a so-so Michael's here and a Joanne's. I hear so many awesome things about Hobby Lobby, so I can't wait!
Enable me PLEASE!!!
The adhesives sale is awesome. And chipboard is half off. And there are a few high quality clear stamp brands among the cheapo stuff they have, and they've got some newer rubber too.
They have some excellent packaged patterned paper, usually older stuff from Basic Grey and others, textured and smooth cardstock, some Bazzill. There are tools galore and punches and, well, just about anything you might want.
You'll have fun going up and down the rows of stuff! Happy Shopping!
They do carry Stampendous Stamps. Chantigo Monkey, Inkadinkado, Hero Arts and many, many more. The clear & foam stamps are on sale. I went yesterday and they had a few new cuttlebug folders. It's all up to you. Oh...the wedding section has 50% off everything and all ribbon was 1/2 off. Enjoy!!
I really like their package of 12x12 white&black textured cardstock.... especially when its on sale a package of that stuff almost always jumps into my cart!
Be sure to check their website (www.hobbylobby.com) for a coupon. Also, they carry a section of little embellishments that I think are called Spare Parts. There are all kinds of things included and they are often on sale.
I love the embellishments (brads, eyelets, etc.) by Paper Studio, and the great selection of EK Success punches.
Also be sure to check out the fabric department for spools of ribbon ~ They have some cute patterns over there.
ETA: HL has the best prices for watercolor paper, compared to Michael's and Joanns. And it looks like it's on sale this week (in the art section). So if you use watercolor paper, you might want to pick some up there.

Ah, yes, that's what they're called ~ Spare Parts by Paper Studio. Love those embellishments, especially the pewter brads.
Thanks for all of the tips. Especially about being closed on Sundays!
Can't wait. I always seem to see altered tins etc that people say tey geet there, and some neat organizing stuff too! So fun to shop some where "new"!
Just a word of warning my nearest Hobby Lobby is beautiful in every section EXCEPT the scrapbooking section .... it often looks like the Cinderella before she was told she could go to the ball IYKWIM.
do they put an ad in the paper? What day of the week??
No, no newspaper ad. You HAVE to go to their website and print off their coupon. While you're there, look at the sales paper and copy it or write down what interests you.. cuz.. when you get there, you'll forget half of them. ;)
I found the CB Polka Dot emboss. folder there about 3 wks. ago. *I'm in Alabama.* I know! It was probably just a fluke since there was only one. 1st time I've been that lucky in a looong time.
Good luck and happy huntin'. May God bless, Sandi

We have a coupon in our Sunday paper almost every week. It's usually
the last page of the comic section. I also get their weekly ad and coupon
every week on line.
I love the Cosmo Cricket paper packs and I got a great 12x12 Elegant paper slab there recently.
I also stock up on beading / jewelry supplies at HL. In mine yesterday, all their 4th of July stuff was half off. Sometimes they put some papercrafting stuff in with holiday section, so it would be half off now.
I was there last week when I was helping my daughter moved and I was so tickled to pick up my Cuttlebug embossing folders! I live in a small town so it doesn't take much to make me happy. Have fun shopping.
They have some really cute stamps, I picked up some Sesame Street ones not too long ago to make kid's birthday cards with.
If their paper is 50% off, sometimes you can find American Crafts patterned paper, but stick with the name brands because I find that the Hobby Lobby brand of paper (Paper Studio) is really flimsy.
Also, you could look for tools that you could use a 40% coupon on -- punches, trimmers, Crop-a-dile....etc.
They have a great clearance isle, but also check throughout each isle too. But HL can be tricky at times, just make you watch the cashier and the prices that should be the sale price or what not.
Have fun!

Hi Y'all: Long time, no posts! LOL! Our local Hobby Lobby has a pretty nice stamp and scrapping section, and there are usually pretty good sales. (As stated above, you can find out what is on sale and get their weekly coupon on the HL website. Sometimes the coupon is for anything in the store, other times it is limited to specific brands or types of products.) I've found some good items on clearance.
Sorto OT: I've noticed the last few visits that HL seems to be clearing out some of the Ranger brand products. The products weren't on the clearance wall, but they were marked down with yellow clearance price tags in the stamping section, and it seems as if the products aren't being restocked. I don't think that all of their Ranger items are on clearance, but some of the embossing powders, Perfect Pearls, and other items were marked down substantially. Does anyone know if HL is revamping its stamping section? Just curious.
Print off a couple coupons so that if other people are with you, they can purchase things with the coupon too. I always print extras and have my kid's pay for things too since it's limited to 1 item usually at regular price.
Their white tins are much cheaper than M's and fun to alter.
I think the ribbon was 50% off this week again and I got some pretty rolls there.
