I can't find the tumbled tiles from home depot anymore. They said they weren't going to carry them anymore and I've been to three stores that said the same thing.
Does anyone know where I could get tiles someplace else? Or is there a different kind of tile I could stamp on?
I'm kinda limited here in a small town. There will be Lowes opening soon other than that I'm not sure where I could go.
Help me please, I need some tiles to stamp on!!!!!!!
I bought tiles just the other week and the selection was poor. I barely found enough tiles for the coaster sets I wanted to make. So there might be something there to them not carrying them anymore.
I have only bought them at Lowes of Home Depot.
Maybe someone will have a suggestion on this site to help you out!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to hit my Home Depot this weekend and see if they have any left. As far as I know there aren't a lot of stampers that hit the one by me (small towns), so maybe I'll be in luck and they'll still have some and haven't sent them back or whatever it is they're going to do with them! Good luck!

I would love to know this as well. The Home Depot by me only has glossy tiles. I've heard Lowe's has them, but haven't checked yet. What about Menards?
I went to HD the other week and was discouraged with the selection. This might explain it. I have Lowe's on my to-do list for this weekend. Can anyone share with me the exact brand/name of the tiles they use so I know exactly what to look for?
Cheryl,
You paid $35 for a box of nine tiles??? I must be reading this wrong...
Although I will say I went to Lows (which is where I get my tiles from) and I was returning 4 boxes I bought. And the lady called for an approval for the return, (I didn't have my reciept) and then the next thing I know she is handing me $200+ I was expecting $24 or so. I said to the lady although I could use the extra money, this isn't right. She was giving me $5.78 per tile.
I was exchanging my tiles with the holes in them for the smooth tiles.

I looked on the Lowe's website, and 4x4 tumbled marble tiles are $5.98. It looks like this is the price per tile, but that seems so high! I don't see a quantity anywhere in the description, so I assume it's per tile...although I am hoping this is per box. Hmmm. I really want to do some tiles for Christmas presents, but I just don't know what to buy! I was hoping to do coordinating sets of hot pads, coasters and magnets. The only size I see on the website is 4x4. Where do you get the other sizes?

They've messed up their system some how. And the tiles aren't marble. There's no way. Maybe marble tiles are 6 bucks each, but these are not marble. They break way too easy and as every kid knows, you can drop a marble off a building and it will barely chip, these break if they fall on carpet at the wrong angle.

Shauna, at Lowe's, they have a small box of 9 (one square foot) of 4x4 tumbled tiles for $5.96 (or thereabouts) = .66 each. The $35 price quoted earlier was probably for a bigger box. They also have the ceramic 4x4's, which look a bit tumbled, but are actually smoother on top, for .32 each. I just made a batch of the .32-ers last night and they look great! It was my first try so I didn't want to practice on the more expensive ones (although .66 isn't really expensive in my book!).
Julie how far off of I-25 are you? I know you told Sonya you were 2 hrs north of us! Are you around Ft. Collins or close to Cheyenne? I know that Home Depot in Cheyenne has the tiles.
I haven't found any of these tiles at HD either - probably because they've gotten rid of them already! HOWEVER, I've been getting them at Lowe's. They come 9/box for $5.98. The white corrugated box has a cut out window for viewing - BUT I always take out all of the tiles and pick the ones I want. There isn't a brand name on the box, but the receipt lists them as '4X4 Chiaro Tumble' - hope this helps!
Happy stamping!!!
No, I paid the $5.78 for nine tiles. When she rang it up, it rang up like a case of them for $35. Good thing I was watching. I only got two sets of nine.
I mentioned to my husband, maybe it was cheaper to buy them by the case. He said what would you do with all of those? Little does he know!
Depression, depression, our HD was no longer selling them either. I am so bummed. Don't know if I can handle the ones from Lowes unless they've improved some. The last set was kind of brownish.
I haven't been to HD, but I know the Lowes in TX has the box of 9 tiles for $5.98. I've found an even better deal, though. They have some tiles called Rialto that sell for $.32 each! Which means you can buy twice as many!!! They also come in 3 different colors, white, beige, and terra cotta.
our Menards don't carry them :( So I have yet to try one of these. We have a home depot but it is 45 minutes from me and I have never been there!! Oh well.. will find some somewhere!
I just bought some last week @ HD, but they only had a couple of boxes! Hopefully I can find them somewhere else! I'm in Can. so we don't have Lowe's, maybe I can find some at a different home-improvement store. *crossing fingers*
All of your tiles must be at my Home Depot. I was there this afternoon, and they had a ton of them! Of course, I had to look through about 10-15 boxes to get a whole box that wasn't a big holey mess, but we sure had them! No signs they were being discontinued, either.
I went to my Home Depot today to investigate and buy more tiles b4 they too were gone form here.
I actually talked to a department manager - here is what she told be that applied to MY area.
The Tiles are selling very well - MANY women like yourself have asked for them - (Britta - you been buying again??!!!)
Anyway - they are revamping their display to make them more prominent and what they currently have in stock was low while they did the move to the "end cap"
That being said - she then pulled them from "out back" so I could lok through and buy what I needed. She said more were on re-order.
So ladies - perhaps in your area they are not "gone for good" but just being "re-displayed".
I was also told by this manager that as long as I have a "stock number" even if they no longer carry them in "regualr stock" - things can be ordered.
So that is the story - atleast in teh "south B'more" area.
Smiles
Kate
PS - I made five sets today - Christmas is almost DONE!!!! WOOHOO!
My Menards in Johnson Creek, WI, has the tiles for ~$6 per box. They're smooth on top and even come in red, white and blue (I think). They just have a little endcap display and there's about 15 other tiles on there too. I've also bought the flat rocks that come on a sheet and made magnets out of them.

I've noticed that whenever there is something like the tiles that are hot for crafters, stampers and scrapbookers that item gets hard to find. Everyone starts buying! Luckily I have Lowes, Home Depot AND Menards to choose from!
I just purchased 4" x 4" marbled tumbled tiles at Home Depot in Merrillville, IN last night (item #07350; SKU717877018525). They were in with the flooring; but were on the top shelf. I had to ask and the associates knew exactly where to find them. A customer could not even reach the top shelf; so not sure why they put them there. They told me they do not carry the Krylon sealer though and recommended Walmart for that.

I think the $5.78 is per box. The box I bought had eight ( tiles and was right around that price for the whole box. I have not seen any $0.32/tiles; but will keep my eyes peeled for them as I love a deal!

So if I have the UPC from my old boxes, is there an implication they can be ordered??? What they had at my HD today was holy unusable things. One of my coworkers lays tile. I'm bringing in a stamped on but referencable(new word alert) tile tomorrow now that HD is quesionable. Hopefully her hubby can get some.
