Don't whip me with a wet noodle, but I did a search on fabriano's in the gallery... some people don't have the no layer watercolored cards, but still have the fabriano label in their details. So does this mean that you cut up your beautiful cards?!?! (insert the horror here!) I would love some good watercoloring paper, but I don't want to do something that isn't koisher. LOL!

Don't cut mine up..only if I make a mistake! Very costly mistake too!!!!And...I've made a lot of mistakes(sadly!).Glad I saw this...reminds me that I need to order more!
I have a pack of Fabriano watercolor paper. Got it at Hobby Lobby, and it was on sale. These are not the luscious note cards JulieHRR talks about, but made by the same maker. I would cut it up just like cardstock.

is the watercolor paper the same as the notecards??
Do any of you ladies who have the Fabriano watercolor paper (from Hobby Lobby) also have the notecards?? I saw the packs of paper and I'm pretty sure it is cold press--which means it has a somewhat rough surface, is that true?? Everyone has always described the notecards as being soooo smooth, it made me wonder if it was hot press??
I recently got a pack of Fabriano paper but haven't broken into it yet. The cards are yummy. I used them for the Moms for Mother's Day and made a mistake on my MIL's card. I will use it as a layer. :( I'll spring for the long note cards as soon as I am able. ;)
I actually bought a box of Fabriano Medioevelis cards and envelopes to do my Christmas cards this past year...then developed tendonitis so bad I couldn't stamp. So there they sit, unused, until next year (or sooner, if I can't wait). But they are AWESOME!!! They are so thick and beautiful with a deckled edge, that I don't want to layer them, just use them as they are. But that can also be a challenge... My plan was/is to watercolor the Christmas Cardinal on them with a simple sentiment - simple enough to let the beauty of the cardstock show through.
My advice is to give them a try, for sure. I know there are a couple of SCSers with webstores that have them packaged in smaller quantities (maybe 20 or 25?) at a decent price, to try them out. I got mine at Dick Blick, when they were on sale. (But still pretty pricy.)
