Default How to add new Notebook cover?

I'm sorry if there are directions out there somewhere that I am not finding but how do you remove a spiral notebook cover and put a new one back on. It doesn't look to me like the paper is torn. Can someone explain to me?

Here is a example (Thanks to gretchenart for showing me this was possible!)

Thanks
Christy

I've made several of these types of note books...I just lay my paper up against the egde and with a penci, mark where the holes are. Next, I punch holes with my 1/16th in punch, and lastly, I cut a slit to each hole from the egde. Lay it on top of the original cover and add adhesive, you cannot see the slits, it looks like you wound the spiral thru each hole, but it's a bit less time consuming. Hope this helps!

When I have made these, the spiral has been easy to thread out. One end was flexible enough to slightly bend to allow me to twist it out. THen I was able to use the original cover as a guide to punch the holes in my cardstock, then thread the spiral back on.

I have also tried cutting a straight slit from the hole to the edge of the cardstock, then slipping it onto the spiral, and adhering it really well so that the slits barely show. Up close you can tell the paper was cut, but not from a normal distance.

Hope this helps!

I will try to link to mine...The carstock itself (the blue) is punched only and threaded on the spiral, the polka dot paper is cut with straight slits and slid into the spiral.

I just made on this weekend (which I'm in the process of uploading) and I used the punch/slit method. Worked like a charm. I love this idea!!!

Thanks for the responses! I will be implementing them tonight if I get the chance. (I wish stamping was my full time job!)
