I was just browsing through this to read the stories of how everyone found out and then I saw when this thread originally started - over a YEAR ago!!
How'd it pop up all of a sudden??? Man, even since then this site has grown by leaps and bounds - and I am SO glad to be a part of it.
I heard about this cool site where there were a lot of great ideas using SU stamps. I lurked for a few months and then became hooked. I'm on here WAY more than I should be but it's all good

That is really too funny! I saw it this morning on the new posts list, but never looked at the original dates. Maybe it was a Christmas elf.... Ho Ho Ho!!!
My former Demo, now my Upline told me about this website. I can't imagine being without SCS!!!! My closest stamping friend is hooked on here too. I tell my friends about this website when we discuss stamping. I can't talk about stamping without SCS, or SCS without stamping. Lol.

I did a google search on a "spinner card" & WOW! I found the best thing ever! Now I'm on SCS instead of housework! HAHA I thought I'd just look for a few minutes.... which turned into hours! )
I was looking at the top 50 stamping sites search engine http://www.stampingtop50.com/ I had never even heard of Stampin Up then. Boy, those were the days when I still had a life, lol!
I found out about SCS from someone on Two Peas! The gals there taught me how to stamp - they were VERY patient.<g> Then I found SU and SCS and as they say, the rest is history! I truly don't know if I'd be a demo today if it wasn't for SCS!
I'm glad this came back up. It's fun to see all the different ways we came to be "hooked." I was sitting in a class at the SU! Convention in Orlando and two ladies in front of me were talking about SCS. I butted in on the conversation and they gave me the address. (And were very nice to let me join in!) I don't know who they were, but I owe them a BIG "Thank You." This place and all the ladies (and gentlemen) are a great blessing to me.

So very blessed and so very thankful.
God is good.
A neighbor of mine who stamps told me about it. Then my demo mentioned it recently as well. I, too, spend way too much time on it. It is nice to know that others are addicted as well, and that I don't spend as much money as some people do.
About 2 years ago, I was on Kim McNutt's website (nuttnhoney.net) and she had links to other SU sites. Found SCS and have been addicted since. Hopefully, I have hooked a few others as well!!!
I had a fellow SU stamper tell me about it. My demo was bummed that she told me--she said "Now I won't be able to WOW you with all these neat cool ideas!" (She was teasing!)
Never could understand how anyone could stay on the internet for such long times--now I know!!!
