In the new CK magazine they have an article about the top 10 scrappers, most of them state that they stand to scrap. How do you scrap? I have an area to sit but I am always getting up so this may be the way to go. I like the idea of an island but I don't have room. May check into a portable cart thats tall enough. Let us know what you do and how? :o
I think I sit/stand...I like to look over my pages so I have to stand to do that...but I think I sit while I am going through it all so that I don't get a sore back...I work my scrap pages on the Dining Room as my draft table is too small for my pages!
I think that I generally sit, but there are times when I stand. Sometimes I pace the floors while I am thinking about a layout, and sometimes I stand if my rump can't handle the sitting anymore.
I do both. I am up and down so often that it seems easier to stand sometimes. I also scrap in spurts - I go gung ho for awhile then let it go for awhile. Right now I am feeling like I need to go gung ho on it again - I am getting behind!
well, I have this nice desk to sit at but I either stand or sit on the floor surrounded by all my stuff. My desks just aren't big enough for all my stuff!
I spend most of my time scrapping sitting down. I do have to get up pretty often to look at the pages that way and to keep from getting too stiff! I do most of my scrapbooking in marathon weekends where I have everything spread out and have to get up often just to find the right thing I need! I am very far behind on my scrapping, so need to schedule some time to do it right away!
I don't like to sit down when I scrap. I was able to recently raise a table (with bricks) in my craft room, so now I can stand while I scrap. I have an area where I stand to scrap and an area where I sit to stamp. It's wonderful!
Due to space limitations when I first started scrapping I started scrapping sitting on my bed with a makeshift table. Almost 4 years later I am still a bed scrapper except when I am at crops.
I sit while I am scrapping w/all my stuff surrounding me. Ocassionally, I will stand to view a set of pages afterwoards. I love scrapping almost as much as stamping.

I like to stand. I have a big drafting table that I can tilt the top -- LOVE it! If I do sit, I just perch on my stool. My drafting table is away from the wall and I have a big table next to it that I keep things on plus wall-to-wall shelves behind by table. That way only the page(s) I'm working on is actually on my table.

I don't like having to get up for things I need so I just stand and do it all now-cards and scrapbooking. I don't even have a chair in my work area. But I could use one to rest in- maybe a big comfy lounger!
I stand to scrap and often to stamp, too. I chuckled to myself when I was at an educators' workshop recently and the presenter explained that when you stand, your brain gets 20% more oxygen and therefore standing gives you greater brain power!
I both stand and sit for both stamping and scrapping. My work tables are high...keeps my kiddos off them. I have an adjustable chair but I'll get off of it to get something and then end up standing for awhile until I sit back down again and then I get up to get something and end up standing for awhile....
