One of the reasons I put this question out there is that I just moved into a laundy closet so to speak. Right now I have a folding table in it but I am considering buying a stock piece of counter and having DH put it at counter height. Right now I do 3, a bit of both. My feeling is, if I get the counter, I can still sit on a stool but I can also stand and I wouldn't be hunched over. Thinking I got to go get the counter and get him busy.
Heather sounds like a plan to me!
I would put it in and get yourself one of those bar stools with a back and you will be set for both sitting and standing!
I personally like to sit....usually when I stamp it is for several hours at a time and I do not like to stand that long ;)

Why did she make things? Well, she enjoyed it, of course; it also somehow helped her remember who she was and where she came from.
Up and Down, Up and Down, Up and Down, Rolling to the computer, Crawling under the desk. (Is this a workout or crafting??)
I love it!! I chuckle at this because I am the same way...up and down, up and down....rolling over to my supplies, back again to my desk, realizing I need another stamp or color, than back to my supplies! It's definitely a workout! ;-)
Sitting down here too. But always getting up out of my comfy rolling chair that never quite reaches where I need to get at, so I HAVE TO get my butt up out of the comfy chair to get what I want to use. LOL I am getting up and sitting down ALOT while stamping, actually!! lol
Then fun part is rolling from the stamp area to my desk where the computer is at.....I usually have SCS on the screen, and a technique up that I am following....I ROLL back and forth on my chair from desk to stamp table!!! LOL
#3. It depends on the project. But there sure is a lot of up and down since none of my supplies are within reach of my desk with the exception of color (paper, markers, ink pads, WWC and so on.)
Awww...come on guys...I had to come read this thread just hoping someone had answered the "other" choice and see what their answer was! LMAO!
I have to admit I've resorted to stamping sitting on the floor before when my stamping table was too cluttered and I was too lazy to clean it off! :-) But I guess that's still sitting...just indian style!
#3...I'm all over the place. When "coloring" and putting a card together
I do sit. One long wall of my stamp room is countertop, so I do have a swivel barstool w/ a back and a nice comfy cushion...makes it easier to get up and down.

OH yea! This is me too! Crawling under the desk to get that brad I just dropped! Rolling back and forth from my craft table to the computer, Sitting when I color, standing when trying to take in the whole project. I never stay in one place! My sewing machine is on the opposite side of the room from my table too, so I have to walk to get there VSN is SOOOO much fun cuz I'm up and down a zillion times!
It depends. I sit at home to stamp but when I do a demonstration, I have to stand. I've tried sitting when I'm with my regular group, I just can't do it. I guess if I feel like I'm showing someone something, I have to be above them. Which I know is silly because we should be below (like on a coffee table) so everyone can see.

ok, so I fall into the 'other' category as someone wished!!
AM I the only one who sits on the floor to stamp? So basically I sit on the floor and stamp but the force & effect is what you get when u stand n stamp... too confusing?
I do a little of both, but mostly sitting. I stand when I'm trying to get lots of pressure on a stamp, and then I lean my whole body on it.
I often will haul everything out to the living room and stamp on the floor so DH and I can watch a movie or a Piston's game while I stamp. (Notice I am not mentioning that sometimes my desk is too messy and I don't want to clean it!...clears throat...I would NEVER do that...Okay, I do it all the time!!)
