I am pretty much a newbie in this. I have been scrapping and stamping for almost 2 years. I just became a baby demo. I want to get better but it is so hard when you have 2 little tykes running around, or shall I say crawling and running.
I am only a newborn....I have been stamping for around 3 months. Still don't know all the in's n out's and probly won't for a long time. But practice makes perfect!
For so many years I thought I was craft challenged. My sisters did beautiful things: tole painting, quilting, etc., etc. Not me. Then one day back in '96 I was invited to a Stampin Up party. I had never even heard of rubber stamping. The demonstrator was Pam Morgan (now a bigwig at SU!). She did a great presentation and I came away thinking, I could do that! And I could! And I did. It's been my passion ever since. 10 years. Who wudda thunk?
It has been about 10 years for me. I bought some stamps, markers, an embossing gun and a year later we moved to CA. I don't know why I was in Vacaville, maybe the outlet, but I came across an advertisement for Stamping 101. The rest is history.
I used to work at AC Moore and was the head of the Rubber Stamp department. They sent me to a couple of training seminars, and I was hooked! I only discovered SU about 3 years ago though.
3 years! I started stamping when I was pg with my daughter Libby who just turned 3. I didn't actually place an SU order until she was born.... she was about 4 weeks old.....
I remember discovering stamping at about 6 months pregnant and being like WOW, I want to do this! But then I was on bedrest and couldn't! LOL!
I have been always been a painter mostly on canvas'. When I was a teenager scrapbooking was getting really hot. I refused I knew the second I got involved, I would be addicted. I resisted for a long time. Then for my daughters first birthday my aunt bought me all this scrapbooking supplies to make a scrapbook of her first year. I didn't get addicted to SU until a year ago. I went to three club meetings and now Im a demo.
September 2005.......and you should see my collection! Okay, I was in a SU CLUB from March to Sept 2005 but mostly cause they needed one more person, I really was friends with my demo. But I PERSONALLY really started stampin in September.
I still have my very first foam-mounted stamp set that I bought at a gift shop at the beach in North Carolina when I was in elementary school, but I was invited to my first SU! workshop a little less than 4 1/2 years ago and signed on as a demo this past August.

I was invited to a party in NOV 2001, and started slowly. Picked up the pace about 2 years ago and I am charging ahead full speed. I came across a mother's day card I had made my MIL a few years back. I was SO pathetic. I have seen many stampers who have been doing this less than a year and are MUCH better than I am now!

3 years for me. I went to my first Stampin Up workshop about 3-4 months after DS was born. And I've been addicted ever since.

I made it! Dec 2006-July 2007!
My nonstamping, weight-loss blog sort of.
I had a few basket-related rubber stamps that I used to make little thank you gifts for my Longaberger customers back in the late '90s. I was invited to a Stampin' Up workshop in June 2002, joined one of my demonstrator's stamp clubs in Sept. 2002, and the rest is history. ;)
I've been stamping for about 3 years. I did stamping before I found SU! but once I saw the catty I loved it so much that I signed up to be a demo before I ordered any sets!
I've been a demo now for 1 1/2yrs. I'm loving it
About 5 years. I have been scrapping for almost 10 years. The same friend who got me hooked on scrapping invited me to a SU show. I am not a fancy stamper (and CASE most everything now that I've discovered SCS!). But, I am slowing "hooking" my scrapping friends into this addictive hobby!
It's been just over a year for me - it all started as a way to make my wedding invitations, and now I am addicted... 65 stamp sets and I don't even want to think about how much money later!! And I just got a call from my demo - all of my SAB stamps are in - I get to pick them up after work. I don't think that I will be leaving the house all weekend - I got enough stuff to earn all 6 sets!
I went to a SU party to buy stamps for my friend's bd - she was having the party. Well, I came away about $100 poorer and my friend got NOTHING! So, I've been stampin for about 6 years. I find this site to be the most inspirational and the best teacher I've had in those years. You can never have too many stamps, ya know!

I went to my first Stamp party in the fall of 2000 (thanks Mom) and have been hooked every since. I had actually started scrapbooking a couple of months before that when I did my wedding album using stickers and things like that. I've thought many times since about taking the whole thing apart and making a better one now that I know a little more about all of this stuff. But can't quite bring myself to do it.
I started scrapbooking with CM about 8 years ago and feel in love with scrapbooking. Although I was one of those that bought it but hardly used it. I then went to my first SU party and have been going to them for about 6 years. I then went to my first CTMH party about 5 months ago and FEEL IN LOVE..at this show they did scrapbook pages made with the stamps. I loved the idea of this since I was interested in the scrapbook side and owned a few stamp setes already. I became a demo. I am thinking about becoming a demo for SU instead of CTMH because I love the variety of stamps. I don't know, I buy them both now. I need to tell my friends not to show me one more thing that I could possibly get addicted too.
I've been stamping for a little over a year. My daughter has been doing it for about 4 years, and she invited me to a stamping party so we could make Christmas cards (2004). Well, my bank account has shrunk a great deal since then, of course, but I'm really enjoying it!
