Default How to make Christmas ornament

Hello.
I have been looking in the wonderful Gallery for ideas. I love the christmas ornaments. Could someone please give me directions on how to make these great things? It is the ones with what looks like the stamped image cut out and hung inside. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day.

Default I don't know if this will help much or not.

It is my understanding that they use acetate on the inside to make the image look like it is floating. If this doesn't help then you can always perform a search. The search button is the third button in from the right on the blue bar just under where it says welcome, yourscreenname. Hope this helps a little.

you can also search the www.hgtv.com website under Carol Duvall. I know she has had some episodes on this and all the directions are on the internet.

Is the unrolled acetate secured inside the glass ball or is it just loose?

Thanks.

It's loose but make sure you do a tab for the top to go into the "neck" of the ornament or your image will be spinning around like crazy. HTH

Default another way

You could also stamp the outside of the ornament if it has a flat surface. (I got some that are round but flat if that makes since.) You do need to make sure you use the Staz On! ink for this or emboss the image in gold or silver for an elegant look.
Hugs and stamps,
Heather

I found the link last night, it's been driving me mad looking for it. I want to demo it this month. I'm going to try it out tonight! Let me know how it goes.

Love to see how yours turns out,

If you live in a high humidity area I wouldn't recommend glitter inside. It coated the entire inside on the ornament where I couldn't even see the image *Ü* I switched to seed beads which also looks cute and are 50% off at hobby lobby.
