I've been collecting for less than 2 years, and I probably have close to 1000 stamps. That's individual stamps. I have lots of stamps from HL, not just SU. Are we counting stamp SETS as one, or as however many individual stamps are in the set?
I have about 22 sets of SU and 15 to 20 loose stamps....:???: But, my stamps are well-loved and I don't have thousands of stamps that I could never possibly all use.
Are we counting individual stamps from all companies or SU sets? I think I have close to 1000+ individual stamps but not sure how many SU sets. I guess I should take "inventory" soon. LOL This will be very interesting to see what others have.
Hugs, Joanne
I have had so many people ask me how many stamps I own, so a few months ago I counted them. I will never count them again. I own over 10,000. Not including 43 alphabet sets. I have been stamping since the early nineties. My first stamp was a happy jumping teddy bear from StampinUp. I still own every stamp I ever purchased. I should let half of them go but the thought of all the work involved to price and list them makes me dizzy.

50 SU sets + a couple of extras from SAB. Haven't counted all the odds and ends, but counting each stamp individually it is more than 300 and less than 1000.

I have close to 100 SU sets, plus some loose stamps, and a few clear unmounted word sets. I voted for 1000+. Just a guess, though! I don't usually keep track of the number of actual stamps, since I buy mostly SU sets.
About 100 SU sets, 15 TAC sets, and 4 individual stamps.

Wellllll.........the SU sets are over 60 but if you count the individual stamps, then it is about 2100. BUT you have to realize that I have been stamping since 1987. When you really look at it that way, it is only about 100 stamps a year.

At last count I was at around 350 SU sets, plus about 200 individual stamps, plus around 20 or so unmounted sets....soooooo a lot!!! If the SU! sets average 10 stamps, and the unmounteds have about 20 a piece, then I have around

oh, forgot to put down how many sets I have. I was thinking about MnM and maybe my next move I would move to her neighborhood. Anyways I have about 50 ish sets and 100 ish single stamps!!! I had alot more sets but sold about 30 retired sets last year!!!!
DH asked me recently how many stamps I had, and I told him in no uncertain terms that asking someone how many stamps they had was like asking a woman how much she weighed or how old she was ....! In my house that's a definite no-no! (By the way, I haven't counted them - too afraid! LOL)

lol! Waaaaay too many! I'm gonna have a BIG sale! lol! I have stamp sets I still have never used. But they sure are pretty! Now if I can just think of some nifty neat-o card to make...

Using your estimate of stamps in a set:
250 SU sets x 10 = 2500
then facter in the non SU ones........2600!!! Not to bad
