I was surprised when I checked my gallery -- ony 5 out of 141 have no comments; HOWEVER, there are 49 which have only 1 comment so 38% either have one or less comments. BUT if only one person can find something to CASE out of it or give her some inspiration, that's great.
Well I have no zero comment cards BUT.....Out of 311 I have 59 that are only one comment and those comments came from my darling sister so I have a feelng that is how many zero's I actually have.........thanks goodness for my little sister!!

The thing we all have to keep in mind when looking at the number of comments we have or have not received is that this site has exploded in membership and therefore uploads. There are so many items uploaded that it's impossible to see it all. So, unfortunately, many fabulous things get missed.
The awesome threads about favorites, both "Clean and Simple" and "Favorites of the Week", really do a great job at showing some of what's out there.
Challenge cards definitely get more comments because everyone likes to see what other participants have done with the same challenge. So, totally different reason for comments. Seriously, I had had a VSN card get a ton of comments and I honestly thought it was the ugliest card I'd ever made ...
So, no comment cards may have nothing to do with your talent. I'd like to encourage each of you to continue creating and sharing here!
Out of 438 cards, only 1 has no comments. However, I have MANY with only 1 or 2 comments. It's funny to look back and see some with maybe 3 comments, while others have 30, 40, 50 comments...it's so easy to see which ones were challenge cards! ;)
I decided to go back and do a mini tally - on my first page alone I have 21 out of 48 with 0 comments. this makes me laugh because some of these cards have won contests........
oh well, as I said before, it doesn't bother me anymore. I'm not one of the super stars here and that is okay. I don't stamp for the glory. I stamp 'cause I LOVE stampin'! ;) and that is what we all have to remember. My blog gets about 1000 hits a month, which just tickles me PINK! that is way more than I ever thought it would get. It's all about the fun and the creative process. and it encourages me to leave comments for people whose cards don't seem to generate as many responses as others.
have a great evening!
Oh My goodness! You have beautiful cards on your blog!!!! Off to check out your gallery!

I have 296 images posted to my gallery (not many but several are are different views of the same card/project). 6 images have no comments, but 4 of them are alternative views of something that was commented on. 13 other images only have 1 comment.
I've had fun going back through my gallery to see how my style and skill level have changed over the last year. It's reminded me of some techniques and projects that I'd forgotten about and will need to try again! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

this site has so many posts every single day... its not that surprising really when you think about how many things go into the gallery here every day.
This is really interesting! After reading this, I had to go check. I don't think I've ever sorted my gallery this way before and I was a little surprised. Out of 277 cards, I don't have any zero comments. I thought I did, but I guess somebody somewhere felt sorry for those orphans and left comments. I do have 3 w/ 2 comments but none w/ less than 100 views. This was really a big surprise to me as my gallery has maybe 1 or 2 cards w/ SU images. I don't have but a few SU images, so I use what I have or from DT teams. I do a lot of challenges, though, so that's probably why.
I'll have to come back and look in y'alls galleries when it's not so late. Thanks for the interesting topic.
Zero out of 92. I think if you want more comments you should participate in the comment rounds! At least you get people looking at your gallery. I don't think it matters if your cards are SU or not. There are great cards out there from all different kinds of stamp companies.
I have 19---welll more than that, but some of them are swaps I received that got no comments--Interestingly enough, something my DH and another thing that my DS made---have the most comments!
I have 5...and not all of those are the ones I expected to be 0 comments...LOL!
I have found that doing challenges...AND posting a link to your card in the challenge thread...helps.
So does participating in the gallery comments threads.
So does doing a good job of keywords in your post.
Then the quality of your photo makes a TREMENDOUS difference in getting views to begin with...and someone has to view it in order to comment! ;)
The number of photos posted every day makes it more difficult to get comments. On the average one picture is posted every minute 24 hours a day. Can you imagine trying to post comments on very many of those? I love just getting views and favorites on mine...although I crave the comments as well.
Aww, now I'm all depressed. I have 45 out of 143 with no comments.
I uploaded indiscriminately when I first started, b/c I thought I should "build up" my gallery. So my early stuff isn't fantastic. I am more selective about what I upload now. I went for a while getting lots of comments and it's slowed down again. I seem to get a lot of views though. Hmmm, interesting thread.
Now I am going to go cry in my scrap room! ;)

I'm happy to see the ;) at the end because it's nothing to worry about. It has changed so so much here in just the last year or so!! It must be discouraging for newcomers but it has nothing to do with the cards and all to do with the quantity uploaded every day. So keep on stampin' and uploading !!
I have 146 in my gallery, 14 with 0 comments and 40 with 1 comment .. it was a little discouraging for awhile no one commented but I agree it makes a big dif on the time of day you upload.
I just looked thru all my cards and even some of the 0 comment cards and I was happy with them still ...as it was... in my honest opinion my best work at the time... I just know I would not have grown even a littlebit better if it had not been for SCS and all the amazing talent on here.
So even though I feel I have learned so much from this site it is time to kick it up a notch and see what I can do with the next level .... and hopefully no more 0 comment cards
I have one zero out of twenty..I'm not the most prolific poster...it at least deserved a ***? It was a little off the wall. But someone did favorite it without leaving a comment, I'm not sure I understand that...doesn't matter really, just curious.
Okay, don't laugh, but I did this a while back and decided that I didn't like the zero comments so I started leaving my own. Sometimes it's just an "Ugh" and sometimes it could be constructive, like on a baby card I recently did, I left myself a message about the brown trim.
So now instead, there's a number of cards with 1 comment.

Ha! Ha! I never thought of that!! Thanks for the chuckle!!

very interesting - I never knew you could sort your gallery ;) hehe
I have 28 out of 413 with zero comments, I thought for sure would be more ;) hehe - neat trick to sort that way
of those "zeros", one was faved 4 times! two 2 times, and four faved once - have to say I've been "guilty" of faving a card and not commenting ;) hmmm maybe I will check my faves for no comments
I can tell you that if you do NOT put a recipe in you have less chance of getting a comment. I will NOT leave a comment for people who do not do the RECIPE, as has been asked and asked and asked by this web site. If you don't follow the rules.........I don't play the game. JMO
They've asked many times to put recipes in and NOT put.........see my blog. The "see my blog" is fine but there needs to be a recipe too. We want to know what you used. Yes, it does take a little time but not that long. Again, JMO.

You know we all chuckled a bit anyway, right?! ;) It was in a good way!!
It makes you a good stamp mom ~ not able to bear seeing a "0" on your babes!! Sweet!!
Do you count a favour as a comment? Also I think it depends on the time of day you upload your card. I only look at 'to-day's additions' because I have a very limited time to view but try to comment when I can.
Ok, went and checked it out. I have about 7 or 8 with none and several with 1 or 2 comments. But, really, I don't care. I make them for me. Or for a particular family member or friend. I just like storing them here.

I have 21 out of 136 without comments. However, I have about 6 photos of a mini scrapbook, and only 1 or 2 of them have a comment. Also, I don't upload frequently, and I don't participate in challenges. I used to make 10 comments in the gallery every time I got on SCS, and I haven't been doing that for probably a year now. I need to start again. Comments beget comments. It is true about them disappearing forever in the gallery. I am just happy that they are there for me to look back on. I am even more happy for other people's cards being here to look at.
I dont have any cards with zero comments, thank heavens. I think if we set aside all issues concerning SU or not SU, talent or new member, human nature has a lot to do with the number of comments: people tend to leave comments on those who leave comments on their cards. That's just the way it is, so if some are fine with zero or 1/2 comments, that's fine. It's really not a reflection of their talent or lack thereof, but what it is a reflection of is: if you cant take time to leave comments on cards, they will not take time to leave you comments. It's actually pretty basic psychology if you think about it.

Out of 90 cards, 30 of mine have no comments but I know some of them have been favorited. It used to really bother me, as I thought it was a direct reflection on my talent, or lack thereof. Now it doesn't, because it's what the recipients of the cards think, and most everyone has appreciated a card from me.
I do have to say though, if I click on a card, and there's no recipe or just a link to someone's blog, I don't comment on it, even if it's a card I really like.

Interesting thread. I just went and looked at my gallery. I seem to like the #21. Out of 299 cards/pics posted I have 21 with 0 comments, 21 with 1 comment, 21 with 2 comments, 19 with 3 comments.....LOL!!
I did notice that the cards that were done EARLY for a challenge got the most comments. And that my more recent cards are the current "not viewed or commented on". Hmmmmm.............great! (snort!)
I must admit that I try to avoid the challenge galleries (since I know that those cards will get comments). I try to go to the day's uploads and comment on cards there.
I will also admit that I get kinda bummed when I don't get any comments, but I'm working on just creating for myself (and those who will receive my cards)....'cause, in the end, that is what/who matters!! I just love the fact that I have a place to keep all my cards in one spot (in case my computer decides to REALLY die on me!!) and for all the wonderful inspiration that I find on SCS. Soooo, with that thought, I'm off to today's gallery to leave a few comments on cards that catch my eye!!
