Default How often does the Stampin' Scrub need to be replaced?

I don't use mine often, nor do I rub too hard, so I was just curious how long y'all have had yours, how often you use it and how hard you rub it.

I've had mine for 2-1/2 years and have never replaced mine. I don't scrub overly hard and I use mine fairly regularly. I haven't noticed any wear and tear yet.

I rub mine pretty hard (just because I do everything hard ) and it is holding up very well (I've had it about 2 years now). When I first got it, it did shed a lot, but as it was used and cleaned that problem dwindled.

Maybe you need to clean it. I run mine under water every week; then once a month I use a dab of soap with my water.

I have gotten an extra set of pads so that I can keep stamping while one set of dirty pads are drying.

I throw mine in the dishwasher (the removable pad). Lasts for years and I've been scrubbing hard!

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I'll hold off on buying the replacements.

Do you rinse it before you put it in there?

Also, I noticed that the pigment (craft) pads really mess up my scrubber and I need to clean it more often when I use them. Not so much with the classic (dye) pads.

Question

I used my stampin scrub pad to clean the Encore Metallic ink off of my stamps this weekend. I went to use it today to clean classic ink off of my stamps and the metallic got all over my stamp. Do you think if I wash it with soap and water it will come clean and be useable?

just throw it in the dishwasher! i usually take mine out when the drying cycle starts so they don't get warped. just let them dry on the counter overnight. i've not replaced the pads and have had them for over 2 years.
