Default How's this for a Baby Shower favor?? Need advice!

I'm throwing a baby shower for my daughter in July. It will be a buffet lunch for family and friends (men too.) About 25 people.

I went to the site Stamponthis.com to get some ideas. How about stamped memo cubes in cello bags tied with a ribbon and tag? I was thinking dragonflies motif as well as seaside motif for an appropriate masculine theme.

I don't know what people usually give as favors since I haven't been to a shower in years! Is this realistic?? I was figuring one cube per couple. At least 15 cubes. And since this is a buffet, do I group them on a tray and have guests take one as they leave? Yikes! I'm new at this...and need any ideas/advice I can get.

I'm also working on the invites. I'll post them when I get a few done.
Thanks for your help!!

I don't know about anyone else but I am sick of non-useful favors! I totally love the idea of the memo cubes! I think that is a great idea! My only question would be how to distribute them to each couple. There's always one or two in the crowd that seem to take more than their fair share (at least there are in my family). Would you have a teen attending that could distribute them as people are leaving? Don't forget to post a picture of the completed cubes if you decide to create them! Good luck!

If you know exactly who is coming (by invite only) then put tags on them with the recipients name. Stamped of course!

I like the idea of memo cubes and the person who said to put recipients names on them is a great idea. Useful items are always welcome.

The memo cubes are a great idea, but might be a bit pricey I agree. What about beaded RSVP pens? They are pretty fast and easy to make and people are always impressed. You could even do a post it note holder or mini comp book with matching pen. I have some of those in my gallery from Christmas last year.

If you've got the money, then go for it. But some nice candy in a stamped container would be cheaper and still "useful". I'm talking Lindt chocolate or something.

Thanks for all your help. I thought I saw that the cubes were $2.70 each which comes to 40.50. I'll check into it. Also, the stamped name on the tags is a great idea.

At stamponthis the cubes are $2.70 each plus shipping. and if you order less than 20 you save on shipping because she can put them all in one of those one cost boxes. It cost her the same price as long as it fits in the box. I just ordered 12 and 10 bags cost was about 41 with shipping
