C'mon mf's....I just went to the gallery and there are SO!! many awesome and wonderful cards just sitting there at zero comments. I am sad but happy I was able to leave some love.
Please come and help the gallery out!
Have done so over the years but am trying to be more diligent about it! Mahalo for reminding me. . .I'm trying to get my comment count up so this is helpful!! Take care and mahalo for helping us all remember to leave some lovin', even just a short comment is wonderful to get!
Saw 6 great cards today that had zero comments. Don't know why. Several went into my favorites because they inspired me. A couple were cards that I wouldn't probably have looked at, but I looked anyway and found some positive things to comment on. It only took a moment. Thanks for inspiring us to give encouragement to other card-makers. I'm sure we all enjoy receiving those comments ourselves!
Thank-you so very much to all who have found wonderful cards and left comments on cards that would have otherwise had zero. So many deserving cards too...glad we can make a difference.
I would like to post comments on more cards, but I often run into this: when I submit the comment, I use the Back button to try to get back to the gallery, but it just goes back to the card, then back to "your post was successful" then back to the card. It won't Back and Back and Back to the gallery. I'm still using Internet Explorer/Firefox. Could that be the problem?

I have that problem on Chrome, and it usually has to do with the cache. Once I clear it, I can get the photos to come up and use all of the buttons properly.
Harvestmoon,
I use Chrome. If I click and hold down on the back arrow, I get a list of previous browsed pages and I can choose how far back I want to go. I would think that IE works the same.

What I do is hold the "shift" down when I click on a card. It opens the card in a new window. Then you can comment and close the window. Your other window will still have the gallery right where you were. Fastest and easiest way to view and comment. If my instructions aren't clear enough, just message me and I'll explain better.
As for Internet explorer, it has had serious security issues for a year or more and will soon be going away. It has been recommended here on SCS that you delete it completely from your computer. Firefox and Chrome seem to be fine. I use Firefox.
How's everyone doing with the challenge? Every time I go on SCS, which can be several times a day, I leave comments on at least 3 zero comment cards. It only takes a couple moments.
I've seen such great cards, read some fun tips, learned about clever ideas and enjoyed some artwork I wouldn't have seen otherwise. It's been fun.
I must admit if the description only has "see my blog for more details" and there's no supply list, I usually skip that one. There are so many other cards in which the person has taken the time to list supplies and described their artwork. So, I put my time on those instead. Not always, but usually.
Thanks for the challenge!! I enjoy the fun and surprise of what I find among the these cards. Have a great weekend!
What a great idea! I just started posting cards to the gallery and it made my day when people took the time to leave a comment. I'm off to leave some of my own now.
I love participating in the challenges for many reasons, but most of all because I go into the gallery because fellow challengers have left comments, and then I see other fabulous cards or art journal pages to leave comments on. There are so many talented crafters on this site!

That makes me feel really happy! Let's keep it going!!
Just saw this thread! Good for you to start it, Karen.
I'm hoping part of it is that it's summer and lots of us are away, involved in other things (gardening in my case), etc. But part of what I think is happening in our cardmaking world is that so many people have blogs now and follow blogs, so comment on the blogs instead of on SCS (for example, I follow Loll and bon2stamp on their blogs so comment there rather than on their SCS galleries). When I first joined SCS, I didn't even know about blogs!
That said, you make a good point and I'm going to make a habit to comment on at least a couple of zero comments cards each day.
Yes I agree Susan, it's summer and we are on holidays or slow motion for sure. I did find some wonderful cards this week though I only had a little time.
I did find a couple of good cards this week in the CAS gallery that had no comments - they are new-to-me stampers and I like their cards so much that I'm adding them to the CAS Favorites thread. It's just so easy to look at the stampers I'm familiar with - it's a good reminder to look beyond those people!

Absolutely right!
I actually try to find new stampers to include on the faves thread. I found quite a few this week!
I'm happy to say that I met my stated commitment to comment on 3 zero-comment cards per day each day last week. It didn't take much time at all and I even found some that made it to my favorites this week!

Going to try and keep it going this coming week!
Way to go, Debbie - I know you'll have made some people happy!

I commented on a zero comment card today and took an extra moment to peak at her gallery. She is new to SCS as of August 13, 2015. She has four cards and could really use some comments. It would be great if a few of you could spare a minute to stop by her gallery:

This place is so awesome. I found some wonderful cards, there are still many with zero comments but the overall number sitting with zero seems to be less! Wonderful that we can spread happiness with our fellow members.
I know everyone is busy nowadays and I could understand if no one had time to look in the galleries but it kind of surprises me when hundreds of people have the time to look at a card but not one has the time to type a short comment.
I wonder if SCS should add a 'Like' button for cards that we want to give recognition too but not necessarily have in our favourites? (Please forgive me if there is one there already that I have missed.)
