You did a fabulous job! You can tell you put a lot of time into the perfect design for you in that space. What a happy place and I know that all your hours in there will be happy too! Enjoy it!
Wow - great job! I've been working all weekend on my son's room. He left and now it gets to be my craft room, but there's so much crap in there, it feels like I'll never get it cleaned up! When I do, I hope I can get it to be as organized as yours.
Wow!! Super awesome space. Looks so neat and tidy. I like the idea of using boxes for you projects in progress. It beats mine laying in different areas of my stamp table. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!!!! I love this room and I had to share it. I'm so glad others like it too.
Someone asked about the boxes, but I don't know which ones, so these are ones I have in the room:
The blue boxes on the desk are from the Martha Stewart line at Michael's. I bought them one at a time for 40% off. I have one box for each of my ongoing projects.
The green boxes are picture boxes from Michael's. It took me 3 months to and 4 different Michael's to find 10 of the green ones that I liked. I have all of sorts of things in these boxes - fiber, pictures, scraps of designer paper, cards, foreign currency collection that my kids have, and more.
The brown boxes are from IKEA. The name is STRIKT and they are fabric. I had the brown for the accents colour-matched from these boxes. In these boxes are designer paper, adhesive, eyelets, electronics, envelopes/paper/file folders, kids' paint, kids' craft paper, and more.
Oh, it's gorgeous. I'm so inspired. My husband is talking about enclosing our screened in porch. We already have plenty of rooms in our house set up as living areas, so I think I will take over and turn it into my new craft room when it's finished. I love the french doors.
The shelves are from IKEA and the brand name is EXPEDIT.
I have spent the last few hours in my room scrapping and the kids have come in and out to get their stuff to enter an art contest. I am so happy and peaceful in here.
Can you tell me the room dimensions? I'm planning my space for our new house - it's an 8x10 room and I'm imagining what might fit.
TIA -

Yummy! Just coming from my stamping area and the snide remark of my 11 year old son ("Mom, you really should clean up this mess"), I'm extremely jealous!
Gorgeous and what a great layout..love the colors too!
Fabulous room!! I love that cubby shelf unit, that I know came from IKEA! I am so envious of anyone that lives near one. I am in the process of putting the finishing touches on my new craft area that has taken a month to complete as we did a complete overhaul. Since there are no IKEA's near enough to me, I settled for a cubby bookshelf from Staples that was on clearance from $199 to $57. Thanks so much for sharing!!
I love the "out of the box" thinking with the kleenex holders. Thanks for the idea!! Your room looks great...LOVE the colors!! I miss living close to IKEA!! :(
