... for 2 hours! My DH took it over to make an anniversary card for me. He tossed out the first card. When he was done with the second, his wipe (to clean the stamps) got the card wet. Even though he is sad, that is it! There were 2 other difficulties! He couldn't open the ink and it inked up his thumb and ruined the photo he was using. #2... He had great difficulty with the ribbon. The place wasn't quite a mess, but there is A LOT of left over tibbon pieces everywhere! The "love you" stamp is stained. And the glue stick ran out. But my ink pads were spared! Yeah! I can't wait to see this card. (Our anniversary is Sunday.) He said that this is a lot harder than it looks! He's totally exhausted! 2 HOURS!!!!! I saw what he was looking at on the computer for inspiration when I had to give him the phone. It was a scrapbook page from mamakimberly. Afterwards, I admitted that I saw the page on the screen and told him what he was looking at. He laughed at himself for not knowing the difference.
Anyway, he surprised me with a weekend get-away for our anniversary. We're going to a bed & breakfast in Bay City. There are anitque stores for him and scrapbook and stamp stores for me. Plus lots of history and museums by the water. When I get back, I'll post the card. I really am soooo curious. It's going to be so hard to wait for the card until Sunday!
Happy Anniversary Jen and DH! How sweet of him. My anniversary is Sunday too? 17 years for me, how many for you? He gave you a really sweet gift. We're going to a Red Sox game. Have a wonderful weekend and a special anniversary!!
How exciting! Im not sure my DH would venture into my stamp room with the intent of making a card. Maybe on a candy hunt, but not card making. Have a good time at the B&B.

How sweet! My husband has made me a couple of cards too. They are so special to me. I even take them to SU workshops to demonstrate how "anybody" can stamp. Not a compliment to my DH, but he understands. Hope you have a great time in Bay City.
That is a great story - you HAVE to post it when you get back from your, um, antiquing & scrapbooking weekend???
Have a blast!
My DH jumped up right after dinner and said, "Is the computer on?" and ran in here to Paypal the cutest thing he bought for me on EBay today... it is a "Gloomy Bear" wallet... too much! He's such a big kid!

Happy Anniversary and congrats on 17 years! This is our 1st anniversary! This is a second marriage for both of us. We think we got it right this time
Happy Anniversary, Jen. Sounds like you got yourself a keeper! Charlotte in Texas I read my husband an article in the SU demo magazine. A woman said her husband prepares the food and greets her guests at her workshops or stamp camps. He answers the door and welcomes them in. I am just grateful my husband is open to me bringing people in the house for stamping. I sure wouldn't complain if he wanted to stamp me a card or stick around for my workshop, though.I am not complaining. He is a phenomenal carpenter, though, and really helps with organizing my stamping room and building furniture for storage and display.
Awh.... How sweet is that? Happy Annivessary Jen! I hope ya'll have a great weekend. Mine is coming up at the end of the month. Last year we both forgot, sooo... lets see what happens this year.
That is so sweet of your hubby to make you a card! It is too funny that he was looking at a scrapbook page instead of a card, but at least he knew where to turn (SCS!) for inspiration! Have a GREAT weekend getaway and Happy Anniversary!

I was just looking through the posts and saw bay city, wow another fellow michigan stamper chick. Have fun in Bay City, there is one scrapbooking store there that is a great store its called Memory Lane 821 Washington Avenue and the phone number 989 894 7973 if your interested Also Saginaw isn't to far from Bay city. You have to go to Hobby Lobby, its a Michaels and a pier one imports combines only BETTER!! And their stamping and scrapbook section is so huge, I could easily spend 5 hours that section alone. I got this huge detailed calla lilly stamp there for 10 bucks I went to Joanns Superstore next door and there was the exact stamp for 20 bucks and they are constantly having 50% off all paper and all stamps everyone I have recommended as became addicted to the store. Thought I'd share this info.
