MamaK and Emily - I'm the same way with my aunt (who's like my sister, even though I keep begging to be yours!)
I always go raid her stash of stamps - she doesn't mind, but her two girls -Man! do they ever keep tabs on her sets! At one point, I have written down what I've taken. But heavens, that girl is so busy, she never knows the difference! LOL I'm sure you both would miss your sets though - if one steals a set, that just means that you need to go stamp with her to get it back!

"Pete," in this phrase and also in "for Pete's sake," isn't a person but a forerunner of political correctness: "For the love of Pete" was coined exactly so that people could use it in preference to less polite equivalents. As the Oxford Dictionary of Slang explains, the name is "a euphemistic substitute for 'pity,' itself used in oaths in place of 'God' and 'Christ.'" The slang dictionary's big sister, the Oxford English Dictionary, contains several citations for "Pete" used in this way. Oh yeah, I wonder why my stamps aren't inking themselves and producing gorgeous cards...I think my problem is I like to COLLECT stamps more than use them!? Bad huh? Anyone else have this problem? Collecting things? I do have time to make cards, I sit down, I diligently attempt some pathetic looking cards, I come back to SCS and see all the pretty ones, I glare at mine, and I send them on to my mom and grandparents! hahahahahahahaahhhaha
I go away for a few days and you go crazy! You are so funny! If I need a good laugh I can always log on here and look for one of your post!

Hey, thanks for the laugh. I need a pic like that. I pinched my siatic nerve last week help my sister paint her kids room and I can't seem to stand to sit in my stamping chair cause it makes my hip hurt and so I'm in a slump. Wish my stamps would scrap on their own and then I wouldn't feel so behind.
BTW, grab as many from the sister's stash as you can. I DO. My sister has the stamp room and I am slowly moving them over to my place, just a few at a time. She came over the other day and said, "Gosh, I didn't realize you had so many of the sets over here..." and I just smiled.
Sharing is a good thing. Especially if I am on the recieving end.

I definately think we should all call SU! with our gripes. THeir stamps are defective! Mine do the same thing....just sit there!!! (though I really do think it's just cause they're mad at me for spending ALL my time on here!)
