I love the sparkle and shine of SU!'s Dazzling Diamonds especially but all glitter is wonderful. But...It makes such a mess! I have made7 cards today and only 1 had glitter but everything is covered.
Embrace the glitter! Resistance is futile. It puts a sparkle in your step.......and on your sweater, and in your hair. When people tell me they like my sparkly personality I tell them I owe it all to Dazzling Diamonds :-D

Ha! Everytime I use Dazzling Diamonds my husband stares at me over the dinner table and says "You have glitter on your face!" I think it is funny
Have you tried the Irridescent Ice embossing powder yet? All the glitter but none of the residue! And you can cover an entire stamped image with the embossing powder and see through it as well.

LOL. As soon as I touch DH or give him a kiss then he is covered as well
I have the same problem with embossing powder! *sigh* I don't know what to do.
I have tons of stickles but they take forever to dry so I don't always use them.
I like just a 'hint' of sparkle on my cards so I just love Spica pens. I like them even better than the Sakura Gelly Roll pens. If you use the clear Spica pen, you can see the sparkle but not the lines.
I am also not a Stickles lover. Whenever I use it, I end with some on me because I touch it even after I have left it overnight to dry. I also don't like the fact that it flattens even when I make a nice pointy dot. I take classes at a store where they just love Stickles on the cards. I end up with it on my hands and clothes all the time. This last time, I guess, I touched my wallet with my 'Stickled' fingers because I even had it that.

Have you tried getting a BIG bottle of Martha Stweart glitter (Ok....I know that this doesn't sound helpful so far) and dumping it into one of those Rubbermaid tupperware containers so that all you have to do is apply your adhesive and dunk your project into the glitter!!! Tap it a few times (over the container) and then close the container real quick.
I am a lot less sparkly since starting this AND....it really is a lot easier to clean up after a project!

I have just worked with the micro glitter and got it everywhere. Also when it comes out of the little teeny tiny bottles it cannot go back into those little teeny tiny bottles so you have to be ready with larger bottles if using. I have used this glitter on embossed paste and the scor pal double sided tape for cards. Since it is so micro in size (more so than the micro SU has) it does not seem to hurt if you get it in your eyes,

What she said!
I, my DH, my three sons, and our entire house is covered in glitter. I don't mind at all, and all my boys have just come to accept it as part of life.

I may have to give it up all together. :(
I use this tray to catch the glitter. I just put what need to be glittered in the tray and the funnel part really helps with the "glitter mess."
After my glitter creation has "dried" I put it through my cuttlebug with scrap cardstock to press that glitter into the glue and that seems to help too.
I feel the same way. I tend to not use my glitter even though I want to. Hate the clean up. I have a 1 year old and 7 yo. When I'm done with a card, I need to be done, not start cleaning up.
I agree with the previous posts. I use Stickles and it's wonderful, but sometimes when I need to have a little sprinkle over the landscape...then the glitter party begins.:p I try to make designs that do not need the sprinkle.
The only problem with Stickles is that it makes SU dye ink run and change color. Otherwise it's an almost perfect product.
Has anyone tried the Glitter Clean up Cloth? It's a microfiber cloth that picks up glitter and holds it and then when it's full you throw it away. I've seen it at Scor-pal, Ellen Hutson's store, and UCutatHome.
I rarely use glitter as I hate the mess. I also like Stickles better.
I used a ton of glitter last night on a 1-yr old princess bday card, ugh, I remembered why I don't!
I went on the stamping cruise with The Nichole Heady and my mom and I don't like glitter, I was so embarrassed when she came over asking where my glitter was!

HereHere!! Life is better when it is sparkly!! ;) Love all things sparkly!! You just can't go wrong with sparkles!!

I spend more time in the hate part of that relationship. In fact I have even gone as far as to say it should be against the law... and then Ellen said the same thing on her show! I cracked up!
I like it when it is used sparingly. But the clean up or lack there of, drives me crazy.

Is stickles glitter glue? I evisioned it as chunks of glitter. I just googled stickles and it came up stickles gliiter glue. Or is there another stickle product? Thanks. Oh, I see my answer in another post. I buy a larger bottle of glitter glue from Wal-Mart...not stickles brand. It is the same price...$1.95. Does stickles have something over other brands? I just bought dazzling diamonds as I thought it was a chunkier product and all it is is glitter! I could have used my glitter glue instead! Oh, well. I'll have to try irridescent ice....sounds like I should have ordered that instead.

I don't pour/spoon my glitter onto my projects. I use a glue pen and wait until it has gone from blue to clear and is tacky but not wet. I then dip my finger into the glitter and then rub it into the areas with glue. I keep rubbing until the area is covered (dipping my finger into the glitter again as needed).
This creates very little excess glitter to shake off of the project. Clean up then is just washing my finger to get the extra glitter off.

Yes, SU! sells Iridescent Ice.
Every time I use glitter at a customer's home, I tell them "Now, I'm just going to use glitter right here at this table, but before I leave, it will be on every floor of your house." LOL
I remember at convention or Leadership one year, someone (maybe Linda Hansen, she's such a hoot) was demonstrating something with glitter on stage, and she said "Now, I know this is going to happen anyway, so I'll just get it out of the way." She then dipped her fingers in the glitter and patted her cheeks!
I agree with beaddict: Embrace the glitter!

Stickles come in a variety of colors. The glue and glitter are colored. I have black, brown, gold, pinks, purple, orange, blue, greens, aqua. etc. They are fun
I always felt that glitter looked tacky, so I bought the tiniest glitter I could find. . . and I love looking at it IN THE LITTLE BOTTLES. I just can't bring myself to (ugh) open it and (ugh) sprinkle it and (ugh) decide if it's worth gathering up (lol) to put back in the little bottle (HAR HAR HAR) or just throwing the residue away.
The last time I decided to just throw the residue away, I realized (too late) that I had just dumped it in my rattan trash basket.......full of holes......
I want to use glitter. I have a bunch I got at a garage sale, but my success at getting it to stick where I want it is hopeless. If I use only versa mark (with embossing buddy) I get the glitter where I want, but it doesn't stick very well. If I use embossing buddy, versa mark, heat and stick (slightly heated as directions say) I get glitter on the versa mark plus a light layer on the entire piece of cardstock.
How do I get the glitter to just stick where I want it?
So far I have only used a product called "Embossing Powder Tinselette." I want to buy some dazzling diamonds and other SU glitters, but there is no point until I figure this out.
