Let me just say that for the past three years, the retired list has come out and I have needed (yes, needed!) hundreds of $ worth of sets from it. This year, I look it over and find only one set. ONE SET!! And a cheap one no less (letter perfect bg's) Totally psyched about that because it means more money for the new catty!!
Well. That all ended the day I looked at YOUR gallery (way to go). I have spent two months ignoring all of the Paisley Print posts. I didn't need it. I didn't want it. I didn't see what all the fuss was about. Then, I was sucked into your gallery and saw your BEAUTIFUL paisley creations, and now I must have it. I MUST!!
I am still trying to work out if i REALLY need it too. Lookin at gallery hasent helped me much either.......You ladies rock!!!
I have already put a $160 order in last friday, tonight i sit here and look over the catty again, and i see like 3 sets i really should have gotten.....dont u hate that!!!!! But like last year, i will kick myself for not getting something later........I need to stop looking at that gallery...haha
Thanks for the warning to stay away from the gallery. But how could it happen that when looking through the catalog for retiring sets, I saw non-retiring sets that I've never seen in there before?
I was the same way with the retired sets until I saw her cards in the gallery. Now I can't stop thinking about that paisley one AND that toile set. Those cards are gorgeous and what she did with those stamps!
I keep telling myself I have no need for it but I also told my demo when she invited me to a workshop that stampin' was something I wasn't interested in either!

I love Emily's work (and her sister Kimberley's, too!). Their cards have such a fresh, clean look. She didn't entice me to buy Paisley Print, though....I loved it the minute I saw it in the catalog! It was in my first order, and I love it still.

well lucky for me I am a new demo because I can't afford to spend $$ on stamp sets that I can't demo. I know I could use them for personal use but I need to save $$ for that new catty we will have in our hands end of next month!!!!
Well Sarah, I hope that you are happy with *your*self. I've been trying very hard to resist looking at anymore retired sets so that I can save money for the new catty. Obviously there is going to be wonderful stuff in the new catty, right? So I should resist and only concentrate on those stamps that are going to remain and the previews. Hmph! *You* made me look! If I buy anymore stamps off the retired list, I'm blaming you!
I discovered emilymomto3boys gallery last week and keep going back to look!

I'm also a Paisley victim thanks to Emilys pics! My friend was sucked into ordering herself one after I showed her all of Emilys paisley pics. I especially loved the brown ones! I got mine last week but unfortunately am on vacation so it hasn't been inked up yet. Can't wait to get home to play with it and see what creations I can come up with!

Mine came in yesterday or Monday. I get to pick it up tomorrow. I did not like that stamp, Sam I am. Now, too, after looking at the gallery, I had to order it. My friend keeps asking why I like it and says things like the book doens't do it justice, and...it's ugly. Well, won't she be surprised when she sees what it can do and how neat the cards look. I'm excited.
