Ok so my 9 year old niece loves doing stamping with me. My sister has asked if I could maybe organize a stamping party for her birthday. I have no problem with this but I need ideas. I am relatively new to stamping but my supplies are growing daily. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could purchase from SU to get these girls to do for a b-day party??
Stamping Everday Flexible Phrases onto the magnet sheets and cutting them into individual pieces is usually a hit with the younger kids. Also using Stayz On to decorate a white board to put the magnets on. Bookmarks are also a good idea for that age. Just a few ideas. Good Luck!!
How about a purse template they can stamp and then fill with candy and/or party goods? You could also make cute mat-board journals (you cut and assemble 'kits') and they stamp and decorate...only to assemble when they are finished!

My grandaughter is 10. We did T-Shirts using Spring Garden and Stazon inks. Crayola Kids are good too. The girls loved the shirts and slept in their "creations"
One of the wheels with a kid motif is great for little kids to use. Rolling onto cheap white lunch sacks is cool. They can keep their party favors in the bag they decorated! HTH Kathy
I don't have any suggestions for projects, but a tip to save your stamp pads. If you are doing more than one project, set up "centers" so that colors don't get mixed. Also, whatever project you do do, make sure you only use one color per stamp.......no cleaning inbetween. It will save frustration and hurt feelings. I kind of have this rule with my adult stamp camps. Sometimes they are so busy stamping....they forget what they are doing! We all get caught up in the frenzy of stamping.
How about those clear glass pebbles (sorry, I don't know their "proper" name) you can buy a pack of about 30 at the dollar store. Use a 1 3/8" colored circle underneath, one small stamp, a dash of glitter and crystal effects. Slap a self adhesive magnet on the back. Cute! Cheap! Easy! Fun! My kids love these!
I love the purse idea! I know my daughter loved her Valentine gift I made her. I made her a paper purse, and then put a little bracelet I made for her from my paper beads. I think all the ideas are great for the party! The puzzle idea is a cute one too!

Aren't little girls the best?!?!?! One year my oldest and I did picture frames at her b-day party. Bought cardboard blank ones from a dollar store,(also had to cut some out by hand) and then stamped them, embellished them with stickers, feathers, glitter and much much more. I rented from our local drug store a polaroid camera, and then all the girls got their pictures taken (with or without a friend), put them in their frames, and took them home. Some mom's thought I was crazy, I think it was the glitter part, but the girls talked about it the following week at school!!! Hope this helps you , have fun with whatever you choose to do, and remember, the girls will think that anything you do will be fabulous!!!!
Hey! my first post on this awsome site! I have a 10 yr old with lots of friends. I have been thinking of birthday ideas for her day. The one I came up with was the "paper Bag Album" you can do as many or as few pages as u with! I thought of making the album and getting cheap disposable cameras and sending someone out to develop during the party. Buy some cheap stickers, ribbon, and what ever. You can stamp and scrap! just my idea and its easy clean up! This will also serve as your "goody Bag"
I did a mother-daughter stamp night at my house a while ago, and the hit of the night was stamping on 2x2 tiles with staz-on, and colouring them in with sharpie markers. Then I used 'rare earth magnets' (bought at a specialty hardware store, I think) and crystal effects them to the back, for fridge magnets. We used the All God's Children set, and the kids and the moms just LOVED them! (I highly recommend using the rare earth magnets, as you won't have the tiles falling off the fridge and breaking on the floor!!)
The girls also made 2 cards, and the whole thing took each girl about an hour to finish.

Some 9yos like making cards too! They all have birthday parties to attend, so having a card or two is good ...
Altered composition book is good, especially since they'll be cheap to buy right now.
Don't forget to let them give each other tattoos using the Tattoo Kit!

Also, do you know of the baby wipe technique?
It's a great way to save your ink pads from getting ruined..
*You'll need paper plates, baby wipes, and SU ink refills (in whichever colors you were gonna use)
1) Place two baby wipes together and fold in half. Do this for however many colors you'll have. Place each folded wipe on a different paper plate.
2) Take an ink refill. Open it up, choose a plate, and start putting ink on the baby wipe. 15 or 16 drops is good.
3) After all of your colors are done, set up the plates around the table. This way, your ink pads won't be messed up and it's easy clean up- just toss the plates in the trash after the party!
My upline showed me this at a workshop. It's a great idea. You can even make your own "spectrum" wipes. Choose a couple colors, put 5 or six drops of each color on a wipe, making a spectrum of color!

I agree with Nina on using "stations" so they don't mix the colors. I will guarantee you they will NOT remember to wash a stamp and..............
also, do NOT use the Kaleidacolor (spectrum) pads. NO PADS WITH MORE THAN ONE COLOR ON IT. I did this with teens & they made a mess. Make it simple. Maybe the purse or the bagalope.
