I need to pick your brains. My daughter is going to be 8 and desperately wants to have a sleepover birthday party. I thought it would be fun to do some stamping with the girls, but am drawing a blank on ideas. I thought I could have them stamp a picure frame and take their picture with my daughter for them to take home, but am looking for other ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Cut open cans with a Pampered Chef can opener so they're smooth. Have paper cut the size of the cans. Let them stamp and decorate to use for pencil holders in their room, or for just about anything else. I know my 7 and 9 yr. old girls find all kinds of little things to store!
What about the plain white school boxes you buy at Hobby Lobby? Those could be fun--watch out for dye inks, though, as they could smear pretty bad.
HTH, :-)

If you can find wooden 12 inch rulers with just the numbers on them - use the border from In Full Bloom ( or another border stamp) - stamp with staz on and color in with sharpies!
Just thought of another one! I saw wooden door hangers in the craft section at Wal-Mart for something like 59 cents or so. When I've stamped on this kind of wood, I've sprayed it first with Krylon Matte spray to "seal" it so the ink won't bleed. Then you can stamp with dye inks right on the wood look. Spray again to seal when finished. Another option is to paint with acrylic craft paints. Stamp, then spray to seal.

My dd just turned 8 and we did stamping at her party. We did the candy bar wrappers just like the holiday mini (since the party was 2 days before Halloween), magnetic picture frames from Target $1 spot (with Shapes and Shadows), and a card with Heartfelt Thanks, that my dd picked out. The girls had a great time, but it took longer than we expected. 8yo's just don't stamp quickly! Good luck.
