I was asked to make little gifts for the teachers at my sons school for Teacher Appreciation Week. They will get something small in their mailbox every day for a week. I am looking for some great ideas to knock their socks off. I thought maybe a paint can with a teacher 's survival kit might be a good one for the last day. Maybe a candy bar with a cute saying wrapped around it. I know you smart people will come up with some great ideas to help me out. Thanks in advance!
I was excited by the PTA bringing around a bag of popcorn, a cold soda, and a donated coupon to a local video store. They delivered it on Monday during teacher appreciation week. They put it on a wheelie cart and rolled it around. They had different kinds of drinks so that we could choose. The paint can sounds AWESOME!!!!!!
What about a beaded pen or post it note holder? I would be honored to get anything homemade like that! Good luck!

Here's the link I was thinking of....the question was asked to teachers...and they gave some great requests! Anyone other teacher's that have joined since and have requests of gifts they would love?
Jantink has an adorable hershey nugget holder. I was thinking about making these for our teachers. They are so adorable, they may be in her gallery.

I'm going to be giving sets of Thank You notes & envies. I'm using the Fresh Fruits set & making the colors seasonal (i.e. one fruit per season). I'll be doing sets of 8 cards -- two per season. Teachers are always needing to send Thank You's to parents, volunteers, etc.
I'm thinking of doing the little pop-top cans of kitkat bars with a cool cat tag. I saw that somewhere thanks to this site (can't hink where at the moment---or was it thru my up-up line?) and it looks easy and cute!! Easy is FIRST consideration, as we have 130 teachers to thank.
I was told that I have way to much time on my hands because of all that we have planned for our special teacher May 2nd thru May 7th. Here is an outline of what we have going on.
Monday-- Movie Bucket (handstamped of course), filled with microwave popcorn, a Blockbuster Video gift card, movie candy (ie. Milk Duds, Mike n Ike, Twizzlers, Hot Tamales, Dots, etc.) a couple of cans of Coke.
Tuesday-- School Supply Basket filled with staples, colorful paper clips, pens, fun pencils, erasers, small notepads, post-it notes, highlighters, loose-leaf paper, red felt-tip pens, dry erase markers, "Reward" toys for the treasure chest, job well done stickers, teacher stamp set from SU with Bold Brights Stampin' Spots.
Wednesday-- 6x6 navy linen scrapbook with a picture of each child on one page, and on the opposite page, each child filled in the blanks with thier choice of sayings: I love Mrs. Nelson because.....
Thursday-- Large Flower Pot (stamped of course), small bag of potting soil, gardening tools, flower seeds
Friday-- A bucket filled with Mrs. Nelson's favorite snacks-- Orea cookies, Chips Ahoy cookies, Snickers, M&M's, Peanut M&M's, Hershey Kisses, Three Muskateers, Popcorn, Pretzels, Gourmet Jelly Beans, etc.
Of course, I am also stamping 5 each of birthday, thank you, and thinking of you cards for her as well. This will go into the supply basket on Tuesday.
I think our teacher will feel really loved by all of these things. Good luck everyone!
I was thinking of helping some people make some gifts for teachers, but am doing it in the middle of May (so they can be prepared). Do most people do stuff for Teacher Appreciation Week instead?
In our district, Teacher Appreciation is May 9-13th.
The room moms have some creative ideas.
Monday each child brings a hand-made card.
Tuesday-2 cut flowers
Wednesday and Thursday-Nothing from parents: PTA will give them a chair-side neck massage and a basket of gift certificates.
Friday-1 or 2 classroom supplies like sharpies, kleenex, paper clips, index cards, stickers, hole punchers, magnets, white out, dry erase markers, etc.
The PTA also makes lunch for the teachers and serves it to them in the lounge.
I am actually the chairperson for our teacher/staff week at the beginning of May for 60 teachers and staff. I have something planned for each day of the week and it all centered around the theme "the leaders of the school" with fish all week.
Monday - each will receive a stuffed whale with a pack of goldfish crackers with a note that says "hope you have a whale of a time this week".
Tuesday - bagel breakfast with a "fish hunt" throughout the school that day. I am taking post it notes and stamping fishy friends on post its and hiding them everywhere. The teacher who finds the most wins a one hour massage from a local spa.
Wednesday - big luau luncheon cmplete with centerpieces on the tables being huge jars with goldfish floating in them. Some of the teachers can then take the containers back to their classrooms.
Thursday - Fish container boxes from oriental trading (shaped like fish) with swedish fish in them.
Friday - sand pails filled with classroom goodies. Bribes to ensure good behavior from the children ensuring at least one headache free day for the teachers. =)
We were able to pull this off for 60 people for about $350.00
