Often when I buy a set because of a single stamp, I fall in love with other stamps in the set that I thought I was not interested in. There's a reason they are packaged the way they are--everything coordinates together and takes all the guesswork out of combining stamps.
Not saying it wouldn't be nice to occasionally just get the one, but don't necessarily limit yourselves by thinking you would never get any good out of the others. jmo

Just looked in a mini-catty. There are just minor differences in the skaters stamp - wonder if the same designer makes up slightly different images and sells them to different stamp companies?
Yes, I agree that sometimes I just like 1 image in a set but don't want to pay the price for the full set. i.e. like the large flourish in the Baroque Motifs but already have similar stamps with the other images so don't want to pay $30 for the set.
Oh, I totally agree with you guys, but in some cases, like this one, I already have similar stamps to the others in the set, like a postcard stamp, reindeer, snowflake, etc. BUT OH THOSE LITTLE SKATERS!!!
I'm wondering if both companies used some victorian clip art and tweeked the designs a bit. I like them both!
Oh, and the store is just a DREAM if you ever get a chance to visit one. I've been to the one in Georgetown, near DC, and nearly fainted when I spotted one in Princeton, NJ yesterday (we went for a nice fall Sunday drive, shopping and dinner). My DH just sighed and said, I'll go for a walk and come back for you." LOL!!!
Coolness!! Thanks for this!! There are sooooooo many times I'll like just one stamp in a set and then go off to try to find just that one image elsewhere!!
