I received an email today from Univenture for 15% off the entire order. Code is good until 3Feb10.
Coupon code is: SSU34HN
I have not been getting their emails very long. Is 15% off about what they normally offer? I'm going to buy 50 binders, and I'll have to pay sales tax because I live in the same state as Univenture. If they occasionally offer higher discounts, I can wait.
15% doesn't quite cover tax and shipping on 50 of the 1.5" (thick) 3-ring binders that take the full-size storage panels.
If you become a member at Sunday Intl you get an automatic 10% off on every order for life, yes I mean for life. The 10% is shown once you login to your ID. For $10.00 I think its worth it. The sale currently is at $3.50 each per pkg, once you login the price changes to $3.15 for 5 panels. This is a great sale. Unfortunately I bought 10 packages of the panels last month for $4.49 per package. I guess I better buy more!

Yes, the 10% for life thing (that's for SundInt, not Univenture!) is worth it if you're going to start unmounting.
If you're an SU demo, you get an even better discount (I think it's 25%). You must get your demo account with SI before placing your order. Contact SI for more details. I screwed it up when I did it and lost out on over $100, so do yourself a favor and follow the steps in the proper sequence!

Thanks for all this great information! Love the binders ... need the binders. Thanks for the coupon code. I just went to Univenture and saw that the shipping is really high though (for us low-budget crafters) - like $12! So be prepared.
Also, regarding the disappearing clear stamp act (when a clear stamp disppears when placed on a white surface) ... I have found that once I ink up a clear stamp with a dark DYE ink it will be visible for life! Remember, the ink stain doesn't hurt the stamp or mess up future images. Just be sure NO STAZ ON for the clear stamps. So, just get some ink on those puppies!

I don't recall ever seeing a free shipping offer or anything from SI.
It looks like univenture also has the smaller binders on sale right now for 1.07 each. This is how I bought all mine a few months ago. You can't beat that price even with the shipping!
What's the shipping like? Do they have they panels as well? If it's already been mentioned, please excuse me. I looked but didn't see it.
No they don't have the panels. Panels can be bought from Sunday International or through GinaK (I'm not sure which size she sells) or PMS (LOVE this company!) which sells both the mini and regular sizes: HERE. Shipping at PMS is $3.00, a part of why I love PMS! (Their fairies and the other part! LOL!)
When I looked at the shipping at Univenture it depended on how many cases I wanted to purchase. More cases, more cost of shipping. They wanted around $9 for 5 cases. HTH!

When I purchased 40 of the small cases and 3 of the large, my shipping came to 21.73 through UPS. They offer the option of usps as well, but that was more expensive for me. With the shipping, my cost per binder was still only $1.88.

Yes, their shipping is high if you aren't buying in bulk... however, even for those 5, with the 1.07 price, you are only paying 2.87 per binder.
for pages... I love PMS too! Great shipping rates and fast!

I've been buying the binders and sheets from Sunday International. Their price on the sheets looks to be less than PMS. I'll have to investigate further. I don't want to order from two different places. It seems like maybe it's not such a big savings if I have to order from two places. But, I will certainly check back when the sheets are back in stock. Good information.
Hey Joan, question for you since you are already using the binders. Do they stand up well on their own? I am currently using regular binders and notice that they will tip over fairly easily. I am hoping that since these binders close that they well be more stable. Thanks for all the info!

I'm not Joan, but I have the binders currently. They do stand up well on their own. There are pretty rigid and rectangular. HTH

I'm not home right now, but will check tonight. The ones I have are on a full shelf, so don't have much opportunity to tip!
If you live/work/go to school near Marysville, OH, Univenture will let you pick up your order! I ordered 50 black binders this afternoon and my son at Ohio State will bring them home this weekend. Saved $26 in shipping (well, maybe about $24 after DS's gas, but still... ).
^5 Lillian @ Univenture!

I live in Canada and just ordered 60 of the small ones. Total for the binders came to 64.20 minus the 15% = 54.57. The shipping was 40.16 via UPS standard. That comes to $1.58 each. Can't beat the price. Hope this helps my fellow Canucks who are thinking about ordering them.

I was just thinking of this and am in Canada... will be intersted to see about customs fees on these..
Help...does anyone have a recommendation on which binder? Univenture has the view case A4 binder for $1.95 which seems like a great price versus the 3 ring binder. I can make my own covers with the view case.

Then there are four "rings" rather than three. Currently the pre-manufactured storage boards in the US come with three holes and I would think that might be the rationale for any preference. If you can get around that issue to your satisfaction then I would say go for it.
I know about a month or so ago I found what I thought was a deal on the site and when I looked at it closer the binder only had two rings and I didn't know if I wanted to mess about with sorting out the holes evenly etc.

Hi Carla, I order quite often from the U.S. I don't always get charged custom fees. It's the luck of the draw. One week I had a large order which was close to $200 and wasn't charged. The same week I had a small order (less than $50) and was charged.
Basically, with UPS they charge a $5 admin fee plus pst and gst. Even with these additional charges it is still way cheaper.
Never order anything that is shipped FedEx. Their admin fee is huge.
I ordered the small binders from Univenture and am really happy with them thus far. I'm still in the process of sorting/filing them. Shipping was a little pricey, but it shipped fast!!!
Sunday Int'l's shipping rates seemed very, very high for what I wanted.
One thing to remember about shipping is that UPS & FedEx have insurance built into the shipping cost. Priority Mail doesn't, is expensive, and is a big hassle if something gets lost.
I also made my own dividers from cardboard for my clear stamps and then just taped down the carriers/covers from the original company since the index is on them. It might not be pretty, but it is working for me.
