Tonight is my very first SU party! I sent out invitations and I thought that if I had three or four people, I would count it as a success. At last count, 16 people are coming! My house is so little that I'm not sure where to put everyone! I'm thinking of swiping a table from the church, just so I have enough "sit down" space. I know it sounds silly, but I am wiggling in my seat like an antsy kid in excitement!
That is exactly how I felt when I had my first SU party. Like you I sent out 20 invitations thinking maybe 5 would come. My demo told me to send that many. I had about 15-17 to show-up. It was fabulous, even though seating was limited. As long as there are munchies, everyone is happy and the girls were so excited over the stamping stuff, that the night was a huge success. I'm sure your evening will be a wonderful time for all. Enjoy it!
Wow! That is great! Definitely let us know how you make out with all of your hostess benefits which should be great considering SAB is still on! February was my hostess month in our stamp club so I invited some extra gals who love to stamp and I ended up with a $650 party and $85 in free merchandise + the applicable hostess sets! Whoo hoo! My house is really small, too, so I've been having my parties at my demo's house. I think it works out good for both of us that way. Good luck!!
Congratulations.... do let us know how it goes. I just sent my paperwork today to become a new demo -- the first in this part of Southeast England! But, gulp, I'm not sure I even KNOW 15 people to invite to my first party! I'm hoping for a miracle!

Well, the party went really well. I had 11 ladies actually show and although that wasn't as many as I thought, it worked out really well because that's all of the seating that I had! I actually shared an ottoman with a friend of mine. Now the challenge is getting all the orders in from the ones that wanted to think it over. Without my order and two others that I'm expecting, the total was $500!! I looked at the hostess benefits and was blown away! I won't have to spend nearly what I thought I would to get a lot of product. My demo was amazing! We did three projects and even the noncrafty ones had a wonderful time and some things to take away with them. I am in awe of the amount of prep work involved with a party like this. If you're reading this Millie, you deserve a gold (rubber) star! Three of the ladies attending said they wanted to book a party! I hope they do! ;)
I remember my first party - it was packed too - and so exciting to have friends over and craft like that! Now most of those friends are in stamp club, so if I have a party there's almost no one into it because these girls already have to place an order at club each month and my other friends aren't into it as much. I'd really like to have a party like that first one again...

You just need to get some more new friends!
