Default Ink to use on frames?

What kind of ink do you use to stamp on frames? I have the frames from Walmart (Make a Frame or something) - anyway, they are sort of canvasy. In the past I've used Stazon pads and colored in with Fabrico markers. Has anyone used our regular classic pads on these frames and if so...how did they work?

Default stamping on frames

Hi Jarmstrong,

I have stamped on the Stampin Up frames that we carried last year. They have sort of a fabric like covering on them - regular classic ink was fine. The colors didn't run or fade - I stamped it about a year ago with DD toile blossoms in pretty in pink for a baby's room!

I hope that this helps!

If you want a neat effect, stamp on the frame with Versa Mark and emboss with clear embossing powder. Then sponge classic inks all over the frame. Use a couple of co-ordinating colors. Some silver or gold Encore pigment inks wouldn't hurt if you have some.

Looks FABULOUS!

I buy mine at Wal-mart too. They work just fine.

Have fun!

NY Nan

Thanks!!! That embossing with the clear embossing powder sounds gorgeous! I think I'm going to have to try that!

Thanks again for both of the suggestions - glad to know that the classic ink works. Now I can plan my project for tomorrow's class - nothing like last minute, huh?
