Default ISO Baby Shower Centerpiece Ideas

I have been looking on here and I'm trying to come up with something inexpensive I can make for my daughter's baby shower centerpieces. It doesn't have to be stamped. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Carol

Diaper cakes. I did these for my daughter's shower and if you buy the store brand diapers, they aren't that expensive. Google it to get directions, that's what I did. HTH

Those diaper cakes are really cute. I just found this idea that can be a combo centerpiece and favor, and I believe there is a template somewhere for those lpie wedge or cake wedge boxes. Just fill the boxes with goodies and everybody can take one as a favor too.

I did a shower a couple of months ago and had ivy down the middle of the rectangle tables with little travel size lotions, baby wash, powder and rubber ducks sitting throughout. It was something different!

I went to a baby shower one time and they had flower pots with cookies on a stick on them. The cookies were each sugar cookies. Some said A, B, C. Some said 1, 2, 3. And the cake that was served was in blocks and spelled BABY.

I am doing a shower for a lady at church with a few other ladies...my job is decorations. My center pieces are card boxes (empty) with a tag that says James 1:17 (I think) Every good and perfect gift...
I am doing pink boxes with brown tops and brown boxes with pink tops. Boxes are made from 3 sheets of card stock...not expensive. I am going to wrap each box with a length of either 7/8 inch brown/white dotted or pink/brown dotted ribbon (from ******************.com) and decorate with swirl embossed and die cut hearts. I am going to make them tomorrow...I can share in the gallery when they are done. If you want a template PM or email me. All paper and half a yard of ribbon..cheep. We are going to put the box on a square frosted mirror and the mirror on a open pink napkin...sprinkle some sparkly heart confettis around the table..done!

I made "rose buds" out of baby socks. Can't remember where I found directions, but you roll the sock up and the top of the sock ends up being the petals. The lacy topped ones turn out frilly and the plain tops make a tighter bud. If I find the directions, I will post here.

What about some of the small tin buckets that are in the Target $ spot -- they are valentine themed but you could cover them -- then do some of the biggie clips with flowers or blocks that spell out BABY and put them inside of the buckets? Perhaps if you have enough of the clips, each guest could take 1 or more home as a favor.

Hello

These are some things that I have done before that you might be able to "adapt" to center pieces for a shower. I always try to use my "favor" in the center pieces. I have also done seed packets with cardstock, vellum and a saying about babies. I put them on skewers and placed them in large pots in the middle of the table...when the guests left, they took a "stick". (I just looked and could not find any pictures :(

This could be done in a baby theme in a regular silver tin or bucket…You could have “Welcome Baby…..” on the front or some other sayings, in the back are Hershey bars wrapped in stamped paper…

These were little indiv. Favors for the shower but you could do something similar in a big pot…I did small pots, filled them with the candy choc. Rocks (although you can just use “paper shred” with the skewer/stick out the top

Have fun...love baby showers!!!

I am making a diaper cake, filling small baby bottles with pastel mints...and hanging a tag on each one, and decorating one of those little Target mail boxes....and a journal to match. In the journal, guests can write their tips and comments for the new mother-to-be......
Loved the idea of using a plastic baby bath for the punch with a floating rubber duck!!!

I love that idea! I'll have to file it away....

Also, I do have basic instructions in my idea gallery on completing a diaper cake if you go that route.

I made the paper baby shoes filled with little earring favors. I arranged all the little shoes on a glass pedestal cake stand and put it in the center of the table. It was very cute.

Have fun throwing the shower, btw. I just love showers... so much fun!

Default Baby shower centerpieces

I want to thank everyone who gave me ideas. Since we are going to have at least six round tables we decided this is what we are going to do. We are going to buy items like baby wipes, finger foods, baby lotion, shampoo, bottles, etc. that my daughter wants anyway. We are going to wrap a few of those items in those clear cello bags and tie with a pretty ribbon and a baloon tied to it.

I know that you have decided on the centerpieces, but I wanted to share what my step-sisters did for favors at my baby shower. They own a do-it-yourself craft store here in STL called Made By Me.

Anyway, they brought cute little frilly socks and 3 different kinds of potpourri. Each guest picked a sock, filled it with whatever potpourri they liked and tied a ribbon around the top for a little sachets! They were way too cute and everyone loved it!

Just wanted to share what I did for my daughter's baby shower. I hated the idea of spending money on, or making decorations that would not be used again. I made 5 "diaper cakes" but instead of diapers I used baby towels, wash clothes and receiving blankets. I bought some plastic sippy cups, snack cups, children's bowls... and filled those with mints, M&M's, nuts, etc. I also bought some wooden A B C blocks and placed those stacked in sets of 3 on the tables along with a few small stuffed animals. I made her corsage out of baby booties. She was able to use everything for the baby afterwards. :-D
