Default Just wondering...

I'm more of a lurker here than a poster, but would like to participate more. Just wondering...does SCS welcome gallery uploads with stamps OTHER than SU? I like SU for sure, and use what I have, but like all sorts of others too.

Advice sure appreciated!

Deborah.

....oops!

For example, I love using "Photo Stamps," and there's not a special techniques gallery for those, so where should they go?

Boy, do I EVER sound like a newbie!

Sometimes I am able to put it under a certain technique. If I can't, I just put it in member gallery.

I have a question about that, I've been putting things in my own gallery but if it fits a techinque how do I also add it to that gallery? Do I just go to that gallery and then upload like I've been doing? Thanks!

I've chosen the technique from the drop down menu.....I don't know if you can change your category once it has been uploaded. Sometimes if the moderator sees that it fits into a certain category, she will change it.

Like Julie said...YES!

I've only been moderating in the gallery for a little while, but as best as I can tell, your card will always show up in your own personal gallery, regardless of which other gallery you put it in (ie. stamp sets, techniques, special collections, etc.). In other words, it's in 2 places. :-) The only exception seems to be if you put it in an album...then it won't show up in your regular gallery, too...just the album.

It sounds like you all are putting them in the right places & not just sticking everything into your member gallery. Thank you!! That really helps us out a LOT! Remember, if a card goes into just your personal gallery, the only time someone is going to see it (besides the first day on the new additions pages) is if they are looking IN YOUR gallery...they aren't going to just stumble upon it while browsing the other categories!! So even if you only use a SU background stamp, at least it'll get more exposure in that stamp's gallery than if it's just in your member gallery!

HTH,
Leslie

Yes, you can move cards to other galleries using the 'edit photo' option that appears in the bottom right hand corner when viewing the card. Just click on it and move it to the category you want.
