I've always had trouble adhering a top layer to a card over an intermediate layer when the top layer extends over the intermediate layer(s). Do you prop the top layer up with dots? Or do you try to push down the area that exceeds the intermediate layer (but then it looks all bent)? Anyone kwim?
The top layer sits above smaller strips of several pieces of cardstock. how is the top layer attached to the base layer with the intermediate layers in between?
Sometimes, I just put adhesive on the part that will touch the layer. The ends usually have enough layers to stand up by themselves. If there's a lot hanging over, Dimensionals or Foam mounting tape (because they're not as tall as pop dots) do the trick!
thanks for all of your replies. I don't know why, but I've always tried to push down the ends and the result looks pretty bad... so, with your help, I can now justify buying some dimensionals - thx!!
I use narrow strips of mounting tape to support the edges of over lying layers.
