Gosh, I found this so hard, I love other people's cards but I am very critical of my own. I looked and looked through my gallery and I just didn't like anything, I have got to learn to appreciate the cards I make more.
is nice, I think. I made it for a twinkling h2o demo that I did last weekend and it was just made by colorwashing the h2os. I haven't had time to get tire of this card yet, so it is the one I like the most.
This is such a nice thread, that is what I like about SCS, everyone has such a good heart!
I liked this one because I don't usually make simple cards...usually lots of embellishments and layers. But after looking at JulieHRR's *may she reign forever* gallery I decided to make a simple one. I didn't get as many comments as I thought I would.
Okay, I looked and searched and can't find how to put in a link to a card. Can someone help me out... please? I'll come back with a card when I figure out what I'm doing.
Now that I've been nice at least ten of you go comment on my Spring Church card and take it over a hundred so my family will be impressed with me! LOL! Right now it's in the second or third row, hint, hint, hint!
Thanks for this thread, it was fun looking AND COMMENTING!
Wow I just wrote a book!
LOL... Guilty of looking, enjoying, and even emailing your card to three of my stamping friends... without leaving a comment... UNTIL NOW
Thank you for your very helpful tips on leaving gallery comments!

This thread is a *great* idea, BTW.
Greetings BabzStampz... and others who might not know how to link their cards/scrapbook pages to a message.
Select the card that you want to link... then highlight and copy the URL (http: address at the top of your screen)
Post that URL into your message: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers and it will form an automatic link to your card.
If you want a word instead of the entire URL address... type the word (here I chose "Sample Card" as my linking word/s ... Highlight that word... then go just above your message to the little world with sunglasses image... as you mouse over the image it will say "Insert Link"... click on this image and paste in your URL address .. click "OK" and it will insert the link automatically into the word Sample Card that you have chosen.
If you want to directly add the photo of your card... go to the card in your gallery... right click on the image... scroll to the bottom and click on "properties" ... copy the URL shown on the screen ... Now click on the envelope image with mountain peaks at the top of your message ("insert Image")... paste the URL... and click "OK" ... the image will appear in your message:
Hoping this helps so that we can all enjoy your cards too

WOW!
One hour later I am finally posting to this thread:rolleyes:
Here is a journal that I made for a friend that was inspired by a card I made--Can you inspire yourself? (there is a link to the card in the description)
This is one from a long time ago. I had a lot of fun doing it, but it only got a few comments. There weren't too many people using this site then, though! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I'm totally bummed! It just was brought to my attention that all my comments on all your cards did not post correctly. So if you get some wild and crazy P thingy's on your comments...I really did say something nice!! I've been using the Post to Thread button under the row of cards and it's been posting very funny..so don't use that button..or maybe it's just my computer or something. Wierd. Anyway, I'll go back and try to repost but if I get mess up and miss yours, please forgive. I did really LOVE your card!!!

Here's one I made recently that I really kind of liked, but it got hardly any attention compared to some others I have made that I didn't even like as much. Thanks for looking!

I'm with Rox...
Personally I very rarely open something up and then not comment on it. Does it really take that long to type "Wow!" or "Stunning" or even "TFS"? How lazy have we gotten? Or is just that we are looking for something beyond amazing before we feel it's worth our time? I wish people would look at the gallery and give out a few RAKs. Once or twice a day, pop into the gallery and leave a comment for something that has been overlooked. You will make someone's day!

I want to AMEN this! I make it a habit of looking at cards close up and saying something nice about it. A little encouragement goes a long way! If no one had ever encouraged me, I would have stopped making cards years ago (oh the horror of that thought!)
Also, I want to say a HUGE thank you to all those who took a 2nd look at my Gratitude Flowers card. It really is my current favorite and I was wondering what it took to make a GREAT card by SCS standards... then I came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter. It only matters that it makes ONE person smile.

This has been a fun thread!! I need to keep going through and looking and commenting! Great cards everyone!
Here's one of mine that I really loved and fun doing, but compared to my others...... it didn't get much love! My Hubby liked it very much! Thanks for looking! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I actually just started my gallery not too long ago. I have a couple that got pretty good response but several that didn't. Of course, I am so guilty of looking and not responding, so I assumed that was how most people are. Not because I was looking for something amazing or was too lazy, but for me it was because I didn't know what to say. i thought you needed to say a whole lot and go into detail about what you liked specifically. With 3 children, I just didn't take the time. Now that I have started my own gallery and have had people post to my projects, I see it in a whole different light. The way it makes you feel inside to see that someone actually liked your stuff enough to say something is unreal. Even if all they put is TFS or nice colors. Now I really try hard to say something - even a short note - about every card or project I look at. There is some amazing talent on this board and I wondered if my stuff was good enough, until someone told me they were going to case my card....Talk about a self esteem booster!
OK - didn't realize I had so much to say about it.. Sorry! Any who, here's one I really was proud of: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking!

I showed my small, beginning gallery to my daughter today and introduced her to this website. She told me she could see how this could become addictive. It really is neat to have a place to display your projects and get feedback. It is so affirming. I have never seen anything quite like it and I have enjoyed the experience for the short time that I have been involved.
I joined about a year ago and just looked around, but if I had known how fun it was to participate, I would have started earlier.
This is really a great thread! I really do try and say something nice about each card that I open up, but then at times, I just go on my merry way......loving the card but thinking that enough people have already said nice things. From now on, I will try to be a better SCS member!
I made this paper bag book for my grandson and really loved this page with his Great Grandmother's recipe for the dish he loves for her to cook when he comes here to visit. It did not really get many replies, but I know my grandson loves his paperbag book and the picture of his 86 year old Great Grandmother. AND the sweet members who did respond.....MADE my day!
I love seeing everyones cards. I know that I visit the gallery everyday. and sometimes two times.
I know that I have missed a few cards here and there.
Also here's a Big "THANK YOU"! for all the comments that you all have left for me.
I want to wish you all a Happy Easter and Passover
I just finished going through and posting to, I think, all the things posted here. (I hope I didn't miss anyone....they're all terrific) I have been so guilty of looking at things, adding to my favorites and saying to myself, "WOW" and then going on about my business. Sorry about that. I'm going to do better.
Another thing I have been guilty of is looking at the awesome work that has a lot of comments and thinking that my opinion would not mean anything to them. Sorry to you guys too.
Thanks for starting this thread!
Sharlene
ETA: Tomorrow, I am going to start at the beginning of this thread and go deeper into everyones' galleries and make more comments. This is as good a place to start as any, don't ya think?

At the time of this post, there are nearly 1200 views but only 5 comments on this card: bluebonnet birthday
while at the same time, there are 5 comments with only 133 views on this card: grateful
Doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm happy for the 5 comments on each...
Well, pat me on the back...I commented on both of them before this thread even though I couldn't spell pretty correctly but I did an edit and it's right now!
Here's one that didn't get many views and only 1 comment. I think it's because I embossed on black in clear.. hard to see. In person it's alot brighter. How would you correct this? I'm not good with photo manipulation programs! HELP!
And since I'm at it, here's another one.. an EASTER card that didn't get much love. It may be because it has religious content.. that's such a sensitive area now days!
This thread has been such a blessing to me! I have missed so many amazing cards. Thank you for posting and giving me the opportunity to comment and appreciate your work!! Thank you to all of you who commented on my Rosey card, it went from 1 to 20 comments! Blessings to all of you who took the time to encourage me.
Here is another one of mine that I really liked: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks for sharing! It is such fun to see your cards. I only recently began looking at the daily postings, usually a couple of times a day now. And yesterday I tried, but it's impossible to look at and comment on every card posted. I only made it through page 3 (of 48 pics each) of the last days postings and that was with finishing up page three this morning! So this thread is a great forum for getting some looked over cards revisited! And thanks for revisiting mine that I posted earlier!

Thanks for sharing Ladies, your cards are truly amazing, and inspiring, I'm gonna have to try and get some stamping in today.
So I wanted to get in on this too.
This card I made for my sister, and almost no one likes it. :( Maybe it's because the picture was bad, I don't know. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
The attached picture I haven't even uploaded yet, but it will be soon
Thanks for looking.

The whole site is acting up for me this afternoon!
Yup. The whole site wasn't working for me at one point yesterday. I left a comment and it never posted. Then I just started getting those "this page cannot be displayed" pages whenever I clicked on something. It was my day off, and I had to give up and do laundry!:(
I wanted to add my thanks for the comments as well! I really liked the card I linked here, and it didn't have one single comment before that. Thank you so much.
This is such an uplifting thread. It is my favorite thing about SCS how kind-hearted and giving everyone is. Every single person I have come across on this huge site has been supportive of everyone else and it makes it a lovely family to be part of!

I remember seeing that p thingy on one card yesterday, and wondering what in the world that was!
