Lex of Love Question????
I see lot's of cards using the Lex of Love stamp set and the background definition is in one color and the larger word in the middle is another. How are y'all doing this? What's the secret and is there more than one way to do it? Thanks a bunch in advance.

I'm sure what they are doing is using their Stampin' Write Markers.
All you do is use the brush tip side in one color and color over the definition part, then get another color and color over the word.
Then you huff on it (breath on it with your mouth open) and stamp it down.
Hope that helps!

Use markers to color, or cut the rubber and mount the word separately from the definition.
Any other ideas?

I was just thinking, you could also stamp it in Versa Mark and use your pastels to do the Poppin' Pastels technique.

I think that they're using two different markers to color the stamp before stamping...like black for the defintion part and red for the word itself. I have the set but haven't used it yet - thanks for the idea!

Lex of Love question???
When I use the Lexicon of Love stamps with 2 colors I inked the definition part with a stamping spot and then used a stampin write marker for the word.

Markers! I wouldn't recommend cutting this stamp set apart

For my sample, I inked the whole stamp. Then I used a damP q-tip and removed the ink from the middle and used my markers to color the larger word.

Hmm....makes me want the spots even more. I think I still need a few more excuses though.
