I just picked up my first and probably last copy of RubberStampMadness. I don't think I liked it very much. However I would like to find a good Stamp or scrap book magazine. So I am looking for suggestions. Are there any out there that feature SU a lot? I realkly like SU and think it would be great to find a magazine that featured them.
I also like scrapbooking. I like to scrapbook with my stamps, because I love the stamps. What scrapbooking magazines do you guys like, I did have a subscrition to memory makers it was okay, but I think I might try another publication instead of renewing. I just picked a copy of Creating Keepsakes, but haven't looked at it yet.
They are awesome!! Another good one is RubberStamper Magazine.
I used to get Stampers Sampler, but they got to be too artistic and full of the collage projects which I am just NOT into. So if you are into artistic and collaging, then they might be for you.
I love Stampers Sampler and have learned a number of techniques from there. While I am not capable to creating the artistic items they have, I do draw inspiration from them.
I also like PaperCrafts. I just started getting it and I really like it.

Simple Scrapbooks for scrap booking and Paper Crafts for stamping. I like to keep my pages and cards quick and easy. I think Simple Scrapbooks is done by Creative Keepsakes.

Thanks Jenn and everyone I went to the website for papercraftsmag.com and I think that one might be good. I especially love that right on the home page i saw beloved SU stamps!
Paper Crafts and Stamp It (also put out by paper crafts). Simple Scrapbooks for scrapbooking. Have fun! You can get both of those at Walmart if you want to try before you buy a subscription!
I like simple scrapbooks and creating keepsakes, although the second is getting a little too trendy for my taste-too many embellishments and not enough photos (I rarely put one photo on a 12x12 page!). I also really like the stampers sampler Take Ten issues (there are 3 with a 4th to come out sometime in March)-quite a few SU stamps used in there. (the idea is cards to make in 10 minutes)
My very favorites are the special issue "Take Ten" editions from Stamper's Sampler. It has so many fresh and practical offerings.
Stamper's Sampler regular magazine is more "collagey" and the designs are sometimes a little more complicated than I want to attempt.
Rubber Stamp Madness has always been an "alternative" magazine with very artsy and sometimes "off the wall" creations which some people love, but aren't really my personal style.
Final note...Since I found SCS, I have been buying fewer magazines since the samples here are so awesome!
The past couple of months a friend has been gifting me copies of Rubber Stamp Madness. I think its a good magazine with a different rubber stamping perspective. After a while some of the other magazines begin to look the same.
That said I do pick up Papercrafts occasionally too.

Like many of the others here, I like Paper Crafts and Simple Scrapbooks. I find Making Memories and Creating Keepsakes scrapping magazines to feature too many elaborate layouts using techniques or products that I have no interest in at all. With those mags I get the feeling it's less about photos and more about using every trend and technique that's out there. If I need a sewing machine, a big wad of fibres, special page protectors to accomodate the amount of embellishments, or a hammer to do paper crafts, it's not for me.
And I also have found that since I've discovered splitcoaststampers, my magazine purchases have gone way down. I find great card ideas here more consistently and for a lot cheaper than I ever did in any magazine! You guys rock!
I really really like Papercrafts Mag. The only downer about it is that sometimes the mag is in the stores before you get it in the mail. I'm still waiting for the latest edition. I keep trying to hold myself back from just buying the new one.
I am also voting for Paper Crafts and Stamp It. They always have something that is from Stampin' Up inside. As far as Scrapbooking, I have noticed that the style of the pages in Creating Keepsakes is changing dramtically from the type of scrapbooking that I do. I have a simple, more clean and linear style so I have discovered. I have been liking Paper Cuts and the new version of Ivy Cottage called Scrapbooking Trends magazine. I also like Scrapbooks Etc. but is is published less often as the other two, I think. I do like the style of Simple Scrapbooks but it just seems that there are fewer sample pages than the other magazines that I mentioned. Someone should realize by the popularity of the Take Ten Issues that there is a demand for the SU style of cards and create more publications of this type rather than so many artsy ones. I can name at least five titles that focus on the artistic style. I hope I was helpful in some way.
I also had to add after reading the post before mine, that I think is is so tacky to have the magazine on the shelf before the subscriber has their copy. I realize that things can get lost and this may happen occasionally where you did not receive your issue before the issue appears in the stores but I have called many companies inquiring about my issue since I had seen it on the stands only to be told that we, as subscribers, do not receive their magazine before the stores. I thought that was one of the advantages of being a subscriber! If not, I think it should be! Just had to get it off my chest since I have just dealt with this issue recently!
Thanks everyone for your appreciated oppinions. I am new to this site, less than a month, I believe.
I didn't like Rubberstampemadness because things did seem way to artsy and the articles just didn't pull me in to want to read them. It was an impulse by while standing in line at Micheals, it was the only mag I noticed that was about stamping.
Anyways I visited the website for Papercraftsmag.com and subscribed for a free copy. I also did that for Simple scrapbooks and Creative Keepsakes. If you don't like the mag you just send the invoice back with cancle on it. So that seems like and easy way to try a few.
I do love this website and see it will be very useful for ideas and techniques. As for an actual magazine I am just look for something I can curl up in bed at night with and read. Sometimes I need a break from the SU catalog, hard to believe! I actually think it would be great if they produced a magazine with articles and techniques that would be heavenly night time reading!
My favorite is actually Expressions magazines, they do lots of work with rubber stamping, and polymer clay, beadery and other arts. It may be a little advanced but I love it. I also love Creating Keepsakes and Memory Makers magazine. I don't subscribe to the Rubber Stamper anymore, it wasn't quenching my stamping thirst, I will most likely subscribe again next year. Stamper's Sampler is another favorite mine as well.

I've had a subscription to RubberStamper for a few years and just started a sub to PaperCrafts. I think both are great in different ways and can always find something to inspire.
Paper Crafts and Stamp It (also put out by paper crafts). Simple Scrapbooks for scrapbooking. Have fun! You can get both of those at Walmart if you want to try before you buy a subscription!
I must get about a Dozen Magazines a month LOL and my favorite is also Paper Crafts which I actually just ordered the Joy of Cardmaking and the new one I got an announcement for today Stamp It Cards 2005 - I bought the Spring Stamp It Mag last night at Archivers. Another one I really like is put out by what use to be Ivy Cottage and is now Scrapbook Trends. They have a new Mag called Paper Trends which comes out every two months. Its spendy I paid $14.95 per mag when I bought the 2 that were out which I just got another but I got the subscription for $30ish for a year...
I love Paper Crafts too. Just as an fyi, I received an email for 8 issues of Paper Crafts for $12 a year. I paid $15.97 for mine several months ago. They also advertised Creating Keepsake for $20/year - 13 issues and Simple Scrapbooks $15 for 6 issues. I'm not sure if the latter two are good deals or not but I know the Paper Crafts subscription is. Just send me a PM if you want me to email you the email I received.
