I'm having a hard time trying to find a cardboard envelope or a flat box to mail 12x12 scrapbook pages. What does everyone else use? Where do you get them?
Thanks in advance for you response.
I work at a scrapbook store and we sell a 12x12 mailling envelope. I'm pretty sure that Creative Imaginations makes it. There website is down right now, but it is www.cigift.com. I think it's around $2.49. HTH
$2.49 for one!!:o Wow!! That's way out of my price range. That would be great if I just needind one, but I will be shipping alot so I need something a tad bit cheaper!! I found boxes free through Priority Mail, but they are 12x12x3, that's way too big, will add up in weight on shipping costs. Still researching options!!!

1) Get a priority box from the post office and wrap it around the pages (it won't be in the shape of the box anymore.

This is what Memory Makers Magazine suggested when I had to mail pages in. Worked great. You can just leave it collapsed, slip the pages in and seal the ends with mailing tape.

I just did this last week. I went to the post office with the pages I wanted to mail. They gave me a priority box that had not been folded up into a box yet - I.e. flat but scored for folds. We just slid the pages in the flattened box and taped up the sides. It fit perfectly and was included in the $3.85 priority mail cost. They even let me use thier packing tape. Hurray!
I don't know the specific box size when it is folded up but it fit great unfolded.
If the priority box doesn't work well for you, I would call a Creative Memories (CM) consultant and ask them for an extra box (Not the ones they sell but merchandise boxes). I have more than two friends who sell CM and they have an abundance of boxes that fit 12 X 12 pages, some are very small, too. This is what I usually do when I want a box, since my neighbor is a consultant. She even saves them for me or asks me if I want them before she recycles them! Good luck!
I take my SU Boxes and cut them down so that they lay flat. I put my pages inside a 12 x 12 plastic craft keeper so they don't get damaged. It works great!
I also checked out the uline website: www.uline.com
They have all kinds of shipping supplies and they are really cheap!
I put some swaps in a craft keeper which I then mailed in a new, un-used pizza box. The hostess reused it to mail them back to me. The pizza box got crushed, and some of my swaps were slightly damaged in that shipping. The next time, I used the craft keeper and put them in a priority box for $3.85. I got a couple of gallon sized ziploc bags and filled them with air, then sealed them, and added them to the box to take up the extra room. I had no problems with that mailing. Good luck!
I get the large x-ray film boxes from work and use them - so have your vet clinic or family practice save them for you they would be free. I have also used the boxes that my SU stuff comes in as well.

Envelopes.com have 12.5x19" envelopes and they are about 1.25 a piece (order in qty of 50). I hadn't thought of just wrapping the pages in a cardboard. That is a great idea, now I can list them on my site. Thanks for the info.

brown kraft catalog envies from staples or office supply. They also make white ones with self adhesive closures. Cheap white poster board or save the 12x12 chipboard from paper packaging. If you don't fold over the excess length, you may not have to pay for the extra for "hand cancelling". PO machines still don't like square shapes...
Read all the replies. I always thought you had to use "official" boxes or envelopes. i didn't think you could make up your own packaging. Like the Poster Board idea and the cardboard "sandwich". I've been wondering for so long how to ship them. I don't know how everyone gets free priority boxes. They're definitely not free in Illinois or Wisconsin
